Last year’s winner, @richtman13
was kind enough to give us an exclusive interview with his coach, who has avoided the public eye…until now. It is our distinct honor to introduce you to Matt’s coach, Mr. Matthew Richtman.
#ASICSLAMarathon
Been a year since I ran my first marathon, and wow what a year it has been. Don’t think I (or anyone else) would have believed how much has changed since stepping on the line for @twincitiesinmotion last year.
For an update: unfortunately I have been dealing with a lingering leg injury (somehow my quad is turning to bone) and have not run much over the past few months, meaning I will not be able to compete at @chimarathon this week.
I’m optimistic that I will be back to full training before too long, with sights set in the spring! Also this is a collection of some photos in the last few months with some travels and exploring hope you enjoy
Had an incredible time in Tokyo unveiling the new Metaspeed Edge/Sky Tokyo and racing with some of the best @asics athletes from around the world.
Also had so much fun getting to know my ASICS teammates and excited to race with them again soon!
2025 Los Angeles Marathon
I can’t even begin to explain this whole experience, there is just so much to cover. When I stepped up to the start line I had no idea how much my life would change over the next 2:07:56. The race itself was incredible, it was such a great field to compete against and I learned so much every mile.
I really could not have gotten here without the endless support from my family, friends, @asics , my incredible agents (without @icarriecox@joshcox this weekend would have been impossible), and all of you. Everything makes way more of a difference than you can imagine!
THANK YOU ALL, and I just want to say:
🇺🇸American Distance Running is BACK!!🇺🇸

Super thankful to announce my sponsorship with Team @asics and @joshcox ! It has been a long road leading up to this point with countless miles, and I can’t wait for what’s to come ahead. Extremely blessed to have so much support from family, friends, teammates, and coaches this entire time. I truly could not have done it without all of you. Officially a marathoner now!
My first Marathon.. had a few days to reflect and it still hasn’t really sunk in. 2:10:47 was something unpredictable and truly has changed my life. It was a wonderful experience in the Twin Cities, and I’m so thankful for the support of everyone throughout my ENTIRE process. I think it’s safe to say I will be running more marathons in the future!!
