Last Saturday, we returned to the British Museum to disrupt the Pink Ball. We occupied the Great Court hours before the ball, chanted our demands at billionaires and celebrities walking in, and projected “DROP BP” onto the Museum’s red carpet. A waitress hired by the Museum confronted George Osborne and M.I.A called for the end of the BP sponsorship during and following the ball. We do not expect the museum’s directors, who are subordinated to billionaires and fossil fuel interests, to do the right thing. But we do believe in the collective power of our movement to win its demands, alongside the workers at the museum. Our demands are simple: 1) Drop BP 2) No fossil fuel and BDS listed company funding 3) Rename BP lecture theatre 4) Let workers decide 📽️ @richmaskey

❤️‍🔥9/09 WE SHUT DOWN DSEI ARMS FAIR❤️‍🔥 💥 The UK’s largest arms fair has wrapped up now, after having been seriously disrupted all week.💥 Our SHUT DSEI DOWN coalition of over 130 groups successfully blocked the death fair and its attendees on its opening day, sending a clear resistance message to our imperialist governors and genocide traders. 🧨🧨🧨 Our diversity of groups gathered with amazing energy in a common aim to stop this shameful fair, cut the military budget to invest in a social and ecological transition, impose an arms and energy embargo on the Zionist entity and stop the Labour-Elbit deal. We were met with heavy police and defiance from delegates, but stood strong together. Akihabara, the place to go in Tokyo for everything shiney and electronic!! Never seen so much tech in real life, the second hand market is strong here too with everything from phones to computer processors on display in perfect condition - a nerds dream :)

Night-time Tokyo is a different beast - the city doesn't stop and illuminated signs offer everything you can imagine, think of it and you'll find it somewhere!! Still it feels traditional and classy though... Somehow :)

Despite its huge size and density of people Tokyo is surprisingly green - many people grow trees and plants in pots outside their homes lining the streets with life. Much care is taken over creating a beautiful and welcoming environment with huge attention to detail in Japan - something the rest of the world could learn from...
