“Lord, I Love You More” - Eliza King
@elizakingmusic is someone I’ve been deeply grateful for from a distance. Her devotional music has carved some sacred pathways that I have spent many, many hours wandering down. (‘The Pressing In’ is one of my favourite albums of the last few years - it’s effortlessly beautiful, both challenging and tender).
I heard through the grapevine (ie from
@kategurren lol) that Eliza and Nat were quietly coming over from Brisbane to the UK for a season. I’d prayed my prayers, we made some plans, we did some hanging and a little writing - eventually ended up collaborating on ‘Lord, I Love You More’ (out now on all platforms). I take very little credit for this song - Eliza played it to
@bekspen and I in the chapel at SPB and I was immediately a wreck. (Snagged a cheeky little voice memo 👉). Deeply honoured to be part of this song - the rest of the album is stunning.
This was also the first time I got to work with the producer
@jacobneverhill . If stories are ever written about this season - it will surely say that Jacob and
@damaresgs have their fingerprints all over some of the best Christian music being made in the UK. Much like Eliza, it was lovely to find out that Jacob’s not just a creative genius, he’s also kind, patient, thoughtful and generous.
(Also fun fact, Eliza also helped write ‘The Lord is Here’ on the new KXC Seek First album along with Bekah Spencer & Duane Caleb)
