Home (How Sweet It Is) ft @bekspen and @manuellaattoh - Out Friday 09.01.2026
This is the first track from Tree Of Life Vol. 2 (!!) and it’s out in one week!
I’m so excited for this, I hope you love it!
5 years ago today I released my first EP, ‘Through It All,’ into the world!!
I wrote some songs in the spring of 2020 when I was feeling confused, disappointed, scared and couldn’t do anything about it but fix my eyes on God and heap everything I was feeling onto him. I remember finding comfort in a verse that says, “we don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on you” and ended up spending nights kneeling on my bedroom floor asking God for help.
I started waking up in the mornings with songs in my head that went on to later become the 5 tracks on the EP.
I spent that summer watching Jacob Collier Logic breakdown sessions trying to absorb everything I could about producing an album and doing hundreds of vocal takes because I couldn’t figure out how to use pitch correction lol
Looking back 5 years on, I don’t think I ever really got up from that bedroom floor. I still need to fix my eyes on God, I think more than ever. He has been my help, and a very faithful friend every step of the way.
I’m grateful to 20 year old me for taking the risk to release music. She didn’t realise the significance! Through It All has inspired friendships, so much more songwriting, even my job and the work I do now — I don’t think any of it would have happened had I not released this collection of imperfect songs in my last year of uni. I’m glad it exists.
That being said, it’s not currently available to listen to online because I’ve been working on re-recording and rewriting it. I like the idea of art evolving with us as we grow and I’m interested in how the songs have changed five years on. More about that soon :)
The new studio version of ‘Moth to a Flame’ is out now!
The heart behind this song is to express the longing within all of us for real, authentic relationship with God. It’s about being caught up in wonder by a love that’s holy and pure.
We hope you enjoy it!
Never Sing Alone EP is out in the world today!!
A huge privilege to have been a part of this. Thank you @kxcworship , @gasstreetmusic , @manor_collective for having me involved. Well done to the incredible band, team and everyone who contributed to the album, it sounds amazing. It is amazing.
Such a gift getting to be a voice in writing ‘Hallelujah, Jesus Saves’ and ‘One Step.’ Two songs that speak of the strength and steadfastness of God. They remind me of my need for Jesus and how good it is to depend on Him. An encouragement to keep trusting Him. He is our hope, our joy, our peace.
One Step in particular is a precious one to me. I loved getting to write it with @joe_r_alexander and @juniorgarr who brought such honesty and vulnerability to the session. It felt like the song just dropped into our laps and all we did was put it together.
I feel like I’ve lived this song. It’s helped me to be present to God in countless moments since we wrote it. The phrase ‘one step at a time’ is something I feel God say to me often, I wrote it down in my journal a few weeks before we wrote the song. It’s a good one to hold onto.
My prayer as you listen is that God would slow you right down and bring you into deep awareness of His presence. I pray that you’d find the courage to put all your trust in Him, reassured that you don’t need all the answers and you don’t need to have everything figured out. I pray that you’d find rest in the knowledge that He’s got you, you’ve got Him and everything is being worked out for good in its own perfect time.
