This one feels full circle, one of the first albums I ever bought was Get Lifted by @johnlegend so to hear one of my favorite artists sing something I was a part of writing is special. @rutshelle is an incredible artist and I’m grateful she’s a part of this one.

It’s wild to read that next next to a song that I was a part of! Thank you jimmieallen for believing in it and being willing to put out such a personal song. I’ll never forget how vulnerable, raw and honest you were while we wrote this. It’s a beautiful tribute to your father and I know he’s looking “Down Home” and is damn proud how hard you work with that guitar. We’ve grown so much since we met years and years ago and used to dream of moments like today!
