Pulse of the Earth: Virgo Ecstatic Dance 🌲 🌍

💃🏽Ecstatic Dance is an ancient practice with modern modalities that invites participants to release expectations around what we “should” look like on the dance floor, allowing space to explore the depths of the inner self through rhythm, emotion, and authentic expression.
🪨This dance will take place during Virgo season.
Our theme this month is Pulse of the Earth.
The energy of this dance will have an intention of connecting to the Virgo archetype of service and connection to the element of Earth, refinement in our daily practices, and the sacredness of everyday life.
🙆🏽♀️Kaylee Davis will lead an embodiment practice that will lead into the dance.
🐍Serpentine Salua is an ecstatic dance DJ who weaves tribal and indigenous rhythms with electronic downtempo beats to create immersive, alchemical sound journeys. Born and raised in Colombia, her music is deeply inspired by her ancestral roots and the spirit of the land that raised her.
🌀Rhythmic Rites explores rituals of passage with a particular focus on archetypal influences, cyclical living, nature-relatedness, womb healing and plant medicines.
We are a collective passionate about bringing the ancient into the modern with different modalities.
🐞This month’s hosts are Kaylee Davis (Embodiment Practice), Alexandra Mars (Dance facilitation), Salua Rivero (DJ set).
🎨Harmonic Graffiti is an art collective that curates and cultivates the best and brightest of the Bay Area. They specialize in Live Music, Art Exhibitions, and immersive events.
The dance will take place in a beautiful warehouse gallery & event space in the middle of Saint Pete’s art district.

The first @rhythmic.rites ecstatic dance was EPIC 🔥🤩
To create, plan and host my very first ecstatic dance event & container alongside my best friends @_kayleeshaye & @entheo_rose was an absolute dream come true that exceeded my expectations.
A space that celebrated life, movement, music, art, connection, ceremony, collective and personal liberation.
And we were so prepared to have 10 people show up to our first dance. Instead we had 40+!
This dance was the culmination of our experiences as individuals, our expertise and passion in the dance scene, in hosting ceremony, in our own musical studies and most importantly, our friendship.
The full moon energy was breaming with potential. The air was filled with magic. The entire night was an art piece.

Thank you to everyone that sees us, supports us, loves us and trusts us to hold a container of love and magic and transformation for you.

Anima Mundi is Latin for The World Soul. A concept that poses the idea that the universe has a soul and an animating principle, linking all living things together.
The World is a living interconnected being with its own consciousness and spirit.
As this dance falls on an Aquarius Full Moon, we thought it was fitting to focus and direct our energy towards this grand concept of an Animate living world.

Anima Mundi Ecstatic Dance: Shake Rising with @entheo_rose
This transformational movement practice utilizes fitness, dance, & energy work with the intention of activating our life force energy through focused attention, reprogramming our subconscious mind through repetitive affirmations, and regulate our nervous through shaking.
This practice, just like Ecstatic Dance, can range in experience based on what you’re needing. From a badass fitness class that warms up the body to a spiritual experience shifting your reality as you know it.

✨Ecstatic Dance is an ancient practice with modern modalities that invites participants to release expectations around what we “should” look like on the dance floor, allowing space to explore the depths of the inner self through rhythm, emotion, and authentic expression.
🌀The music at an ecstatic dance follows the structure of Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms; starts slow, builds up to a climax and ends in stillness.
⭐️The guidelines create a specific container of non-judgement and respect for self and others.
In order to create this container, here are the guidelines:
* Doors close at 7pm. No entry after the opening circle.
* No talking on the dance floor. There will be designated areas to talk outside the dance floor.
* No phones on the dance floor.
* No pictures or videos during the dance.
* No shoes on the dance floor.
* Non-verbal consent specified to dance with another.
* No food or drinks on the dance floor.
* No substance use on the dance floor*

We curated this blend intentionally with the radical love found in our many @entheo_rose & @serpentinesalua Rapè ceremonies.
This uniquely formulated and hand-made blend has been shared in multiple ceremonies between the two of us, as well as shared with our community for the past 3 years now. This is the first time we are labeling and selling to the public.

We begin with a Cacao Council where we discuss as a community what personal & collective Liberation means and how we can authentically enage with political, social, and environmental justice, while we drink and connect with Cacao.
Alexandra ( @entheo_rose ) guides us into a Shake Rising ( @shakerising )practice, which then unfolds into an ecstatic dance with DJ Salua ( @serpentinesalua ).
We welcome your grief, joy, sadness and rage to be transmuted with community, music, movement and authentic expression.
