RHYTHM: A SHORT DOCUMENTARY (TEASER)
We have officially launched our fundraising campaign on Seed & Spark for our short documentary, Rhythm, directed by @yourpalasher
Rhythm is a story about legacy, reinvention, and the lasting impact of mentorship. Drum teacher Floyd Kennedy has spent over 40 years building a music program at Natomas High School in Sacramento that became more than just a classâit became a catalyst in transforming the lives of thousands of students.
Now, as he prepares for the next chapter, the film follows his journey of moving forward, and discovering new ways to inspire beyond the classroom post-retirement.
Floyd has personally had a massive impact on me as an artist, aspiring educator, and human being. While this film is a tribute to him, it is equally an exploration and celebration of mentors everywhere, who relentlessly dedicate themselves to improving studentsâ lives, despite difficult circumstances.
We have already filmed 40 hours of footage (and 30,000 gigabytes, wow!) and are now raising funds to bring this documentary to life in post-production. Now, we need your help to get it across the finish line and in front of everyone we can.
Your support helps us tell this story with the depth and care it deserves. Please check out our Seed & Spark site (link in bio) to learn more! Any support truly means the world to us, and we appreciate you sharing with anyone who would connect with this story.
