I’ve been feeling immensely proud to have produced James’ first original release and to share that with the world. Since the day we met he’s always understood me musically on a deep level and sometimes I feel like he can read my mind lol? Probably because though he’s one of my oldest and closest friends and we’ve shared so much together. We still talk to this day about how strange it is how much our influences align from the music we listened to when we were teenagers, before we’d even met. I feel a kind of home in his presence and playing music together feels more symbiotic than anything. To be able to produce songs from a place with someone I have that amount of history with is actually such an honour🥲 an actual career highlight I’ll look back on in the years to come!!

Emily and I finished making her debut album together around October last year and a couples weeks ago she released her first single from that body of work. Working closely with her has been a big inspiration for me and my productions for a few years now. She brings so much care and authenticity to all parts of the creative process and is always coming up with new ideas. There is so much to say which I can’t put concisely into one post but I feel immensely proud of it and I can’t wait for the world to hear the whole thing.

A few days ago @rosannahjones and I recorded a guided mediation for her work as a menstrual cycle coach. It was centred around the healing of the womb and through her narration explores its energy and power. After hearing the first draft of what she’d written the morning of the session, the way the music had to accompany the script couldn’t be clearer. An introduction, a poem that she’d written in about an hour, and a final part to exit. She speaks with such sensitivity and safety, and I was brought to tears on the final listen. She is one of the most beautiful writers I’ve ever heard. It is a snapshot in time and will live forever and that is just magic.

I had a lovely time last summer getting to know @celiagracesongs and helping to produce her forthcoming EP. Hearing her story was a big energy source for me for the rest of the year - through song and conversation. Her resilience is so inspiring and it’s been genuinely an honour to play a part in her next body of work. “Phone operator” is out now to listen wherever you listen to music!

Had a few releases all come out on the same Friday last week - must’ve been a new moon or somethin!! @katieriigby second song from her next body of work was one of them and it was one of the four that she wrote and recorded in Wales last October. The initial idea for “Magic” started to come to fruition at the beginning of last year and over several months it started to show its form. It was the soundtrack to my winter going into spring 2025 and it’ll probs always feel like that in my memories which is just lovely. I feel so grateful for anna taking me under her wing and allowing me to build my production skills under her artistry, and also thank you to the village consisting of:

This is first track from the latest @katieriigby body of work that we recorded in Wales last autumn. We recorded the whole song in a day and it was such a blur but it was actually such a true snapshot in time!! I remember coming downstairs in the morning and Katie and @laurapowell._ had already fleshed out all the lyrics and structure before I even had my morning Yorkshire tea😂 thank you @mrtonydraper for pulling all the mess of the stems together in the mix process and @lismore_mastering for your mastery!💫
