Five years ago, we embarked on a journey fueled by a shared passion: to help more dogs and create a positive impact in their lives. What began as a simple desire to spend more time with our pups has blossomed into a dream realized—one that aims to change the world for these incredible creatures. From countless experiences, growth, and lessons learned along the way, we are excited to officially introduce RFRD Canine Recreation Center, a membership style private dog park. This year marks a significant milestone, one that not only celebrates the dogs but also the families and community that cherish the emotional support they provide. We are thrilled to be here with you, knowing that together we can create a place where our dogs can thrive and be their true selves. 🚨 OUR VERY IMPORTANT PLEA FOR CHUNK 🚨 ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP- PLEASE READ THE FULL CAPTION ⚠️ Chunk urgently needs an experienced, behavior-savvy adopter. Chunk has now been with us for almost FOUR YEARS. 💔 And we need to be honest… Chunk is struggling badly in boarding. Boarding is not a life for him. The stress and kennel environment are taking a serious toll on his mental and emotional wellbeing. He is shutting down, stressing himself out, and his quality of life is no longer what he deserves. We have reached a heartbreaking point where, if we cannot find the right experienced and patient adopter within the next few weeks, very difficult decisions may have to be made. This is not the outcome we want for Chunk. We want transparency because Chunk deserves every possible chance. Chunk has a bite history and has bitten in previous homes. Because of this, we are being extremely intentional about finding the RIGHT placement; someone who understands dogs with boundaries, structure, and behavior management. Here’s who Chunk is: ✔️ Dog friendly ✔️ Cat friendly ❌ No children Chunk is not a “typical” dog, and that’s okay. He is not: • A cuddly dog • A dog who wants constant affection • A dog who enjoys hands-on interaction Chunk IS: • A dog who prefers independence • A dog who loves his crate and safe space • A dog who finds joy in his ball • A dog who shows affection on HIS terms • A dog who needs his boundaries respected — always Chunk’s triggers are clear, predictable, and manageable. He is not unpredictable. He communicates clearly, and when his boundaries are respected, he is calm, stable, and successful We are looking for someone who: • Has experience with behavioral dogs • Understands bite risk and management • Can provide structure and routine • Will advocate for Chunk instead of trying to “fix” him • Understands that love doesn’t always look like hugs Chunk does not need saving. Rescue Spotlight @ RFRD Canine Recreation Center Every Thursday from 12:30-3:30pm @rfrd.crc beginning May and ending in August will be dedicated for rescue dogs day out with our rescue partner dogs that’s up for adoption staying at @rfrdacademy . Thanks to our wonderful sponsor, we’re providing an open space for pups from various rescues to relax and play. Each week, we’ll feature a special dog with a bio to help them find their forever home. Every dog will be promoted 1:1, so if you like a pup in the post, drop us a DM or reach out directly to the rescue for more details.
