REZON8 | Amplifying the voices of young people 🔮

After 5 years of neglecting social media, we think it’s time that REZON8 starts making its mark and documenting the amazing work we do for the world to see. Thank you to the hundreds of people who have supported, participated, shared, and listened over the years and for those who don’t yet know what REZON8 is… now is the perfect time to get to know! Thank you… 🔮 Our current project’s - REZON8 - Bootcamp: Step into an exciting creative journey with REZON8 Bootcamp! This is the perfect spot for young artists to stretch their wings, acquire new skills, and engage in meaningful collaborations. Our all-encompassing program will cover writing techniques, studio recording, performance, and so much more. With these skills, we aim to create a collaborative mixtape that will as allow all participants involved to collectively curate an event to showcase their work during CAYA in the @thealbanyse8 cafe. This 6-week intensive programme will be led by international slam champion, performance poet, spoken word artist, and writer @y.a.poet alongside @kamzzofficial the Director of REZON8. ✍️ (Returning in September) REZON8 Free Recording Sessions: To make creating music more accessible to young people, REZON8 is offering free recording sessions to 14-25s. We acknowledge that music is a creative output for many young people however the ability to create a professional product can be difficult due to expensive studio prices, lack of accessibility, financial issues and more. A free space to create, record and develop your music with support from REZON8 🔮 Whether you want to record vocals, write lyrics, explore ideas or build confidence in the studio, sessions are shaped around what you need. These sessions are focused on using music for self-expression, reflecting on your creative process, and exploring what you want to say through your art!✍️ Recording sessions are back starting and are now 4 days a week 🎉 We will now be running our Free recording sessions between our usual space at Deptford Adventure Playground and @thealbanyse8 . On Tuesday, 25th March, we wrapped up our 4th REZON8 - Bootcamp with a showcase, and it was nothing short of magic. 🔥💜 The energy, the raw emotion, the vibes - every single artist showed out, proving once again why REZON8 is different. If you haven’t heard, this year we had an amazing opportunity to take 4 young artists from Lewisham to the largest performing arts festival in the world… Glastonbury 2024! On August 13th we had the opportunity to showcase work put together by members of REZON8 - Bootcamp. Melodies & Tales was meant to be a small friends and family event so the last thing we expected was the need need to take out more tables and chairs! Thank you everyone who came to support and we can firmly promise there will be more to come! 🙌🏽 Of course we would like to say thank you to every single member of REZON8 - Bootcamp for putting on an amazing show as well as supporting each other despite all having completely different styles and interests. Seeing the hard work you have all put in over the course of the 6 weeks as well as the progression you have all made on the centre stage was the most fulfilling feeling ever.
