MADE IN ATHENS, part of @openhouseathens is event when creative spaces open their doors to reveal what’s actually being made and share a more direct view of the city’s creative side.
Opening the REYWAL workshop I got to show the work not as finished pieces, but as a process: thread meeting light, materials taking their time, forms emerging slowly. It was such a nice surprise to see so many people come by, engaged, curious, asking questions,with genuine attention.
For those of us who create, your presence is more than support. It keeps the hands moving, the ideas evolving, and the commitment to the handmade and the unique very much alive.

“IN THREADS WE REMEMBER “ A private event by PHAEA at Benaki Museum.
An evening dedicated to thread as a link between past, present, and cultural identity.
A private event at NEMA, part of the @thebenakimuseum organised by @phaeagreece and curated through the vision of @agapisbokou , honoring the authentic and the handmade.
Centered on the Benaki Museum’s Thread Collection — a living archive of Greek textile heritage — the evening saw REYWAL thread-made lights illuminated among the museum’s threads, in absolute harmony with the space.
The experience was enriched by the insightful guidance of Ms. Virginia Matseli, @virginia_matseli who led us through the journey of the thread across space and time.
It was a true honor for REYWAL lights to illuminate this historic sanctuary of the thread, shaping a shared narrative of craft, time, and cultural continuity.
