Artist Statement: "Vertical Gardens: Open Systems. The work explores the relationship between sculpture, the body, and the wearable object through a modular installation existing in a state of transformation. Constructed as an open system of forms and voids, it unfolds through time, movement, and transition. During the action, selected elements are carried and worn on the body before returning to the installation in new positions, creating shifting relationships between object, space, and the body. Through embodied engagement, the work remains open to change, allowing new possibilities of connection, meaning, and shared experience to emerge."

Artist Statement: "Apolitical art is an illusion. There is no apolitical art. Every work, even the most personal, expresses the way we exist in the world. Silence in the face of social inequality is a choice. Neutrality is a stance. Every action that expresses a position on how we exist and coexist in the world is a political act. The New Love collection speaks about love and takes a stance: the new, the exposure, the excess, and the vulnerability are political. They declare that we choose to exist together, to share the experience, to risk feeling beyond safety and control."

"Ralph Parks is a self-taught carpenter and wood carver with the simple intention to make meaningful functional objects. My practice is usually a combination of imitation and transformation. Recontextualising recognisable forms and styles, utilising their connotations or transforming them to find new ideas. Often focusing on abstracting and reforming historic and religious design to create something that feels new and very familiar simultaneously. I believe objects made with intention have the potential to affect meaningful change in the world, that's how I approach each endeavour, with the hope of bringing a moment of meaning to those who might interact with it."

A few words about the artists practice :
"Marie-Caroline Locquet is a French visual artist. She grew up in the north of France where she felt the weight of self-demonstration and the camouflage of the social affiliations through adornment at an early age. Thus, it is a conceptual interest that led her to jewelry , an object initially quite distant from her, considering it more as a subject for study than from an aesthetic affinity. Each piece of her work redefines the status of jewelry , considering it less as a showcase object (of wealth, power, etc.) and more as a confrontation with a high disruptive potential in public space. The materials, pushed to their extreme limits, bare themselves and reveal their true nature through forms that evoke both desire and death. Whether defensive weapons or restraint devices, each piece offers a unique wearing experience that explores our shared fragility. They pose a challenge to all who observe them, constantly maintaining the tension between social discomfort and the temptation of embrace."
