Good evening all. Earlier today our boss went live on BBC Radio Sheffield to talk about the trials and tribulations of organising a music festival. Here it is in full if you missed it.

We're gutted to hear about @reytfest . The live music scene is having a rough time right now and nobody wants to see festivals struggling. We've been chatting to the REYTFEST team and we want to make sure their ticket holders don't miss out on a festival this year. If you had a REYTFEST ticket, drop them a message and they'll sort you with an exclusive discount code for DonnyFest '26. All the best to the REYTFEST crew. Hope to see you back soon.

We’re still reeling from yesterday’s news that we’re sure you’re all well aware of, but it’s not all bad, we’ve been contacted by several other local festivals to express their shock and sadness. So, we thought we’d all get together and we’re arranging discounted tickets for several events in the local area and there may be more to follow. Let’s keep the events industry going, if you’ve purchased tickets to REYT FEST, keep an eye on your inbox for discount codes dropping with your refunds (if not before), or contact us direct if you’d like to book one now!! Please take the time to check all 3 events out, give them a like, a follow and share the event, you never know who might be interested in what, it costs nothing to do! 👍 / / /

EVENT CANCELLED We have had to make the heartbreaking decision to not go ahead with the REYT FEST event this June. This is due primarily to poor ticket sales which we can only attribute to the cost of living crisis. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the festival, from the bands, vendors, stakeholders, suppliers and all other interested parties. We’d also like to thank you, our followers, liking and sharing our posts really built our fanbase, but especially to those of you who purchased tickets. Rest assured your ticket money will be refunded and please don’t get disheartened by this news, keep on booking live events whether its grassroots music in a local bar to big band stadium events or something completely different such as theatres, cinema, sports, etc, if people don’t buy tickets, they will disappear. We had a dream that unfortunately we can’t see through to fruition on this occasion, but we’ve learnt so much and we don’t want to throw all that knowledge and experience away, so when the time is right - watch this space!! Thank you - Jon (Brad), Ian, Jess and the rest of the REYT FEST Team

APPEAL!!! In 2025, 89 music festivals collapesed. So far this year, 32 festivals have cancelled their events. If you’re planning on attending any festival, or gig for that matter, we at REYT FEST urge you to ACT NOW, tell your friends, get your tickets early, don’t wait till the last minute. Have you ever complained that there aren’t enough toilets or the queues for the bar and food is too long? This is likely due to a late surge in ticket sales and organisers not able to react fast enough. We and all the event organisers desperately need to understand footfall as early as possible to ensure all the facillities are in place to accomodate everyone. Please read the article, don’t let more festivals suffer this fate, support live music, especially grassroots, before they disapppear. Please share, thank you /music-festivals-cancelled-in-2026/ #festival #festivalseason #livemusic

Freight are a Warrington based high-energy indie quartet that has quickly made a name for itself on the UK scene with a sound that balances nostalgic swagger and modern urgency. Drawing heavy inspiration from the early 2010s indie-rock revival, reminiscent of bands like The Vaccines, Arctic Monkeys, and The Kooks, their music is defined by jangly guitars, punchy hooks, and anthemic choruses. Known for their unfiltered live presence and melodic sensibility, Freight is widely regarded as one of the most promising new acts emerging from the North West and will be on our main stage on Saturday 27th June.

Some of these dates look a little out, but nevertheless, we’ve got one of the bands headlining!

TICKET UPDATE Due to many requests, we’ve adding a very limited number of day only tickets. Please note, this reduces the number of 2 day passes available, so these are now getting low also. There are only 5 glamping pods left too, email or message us immidately to secure yours. We can only have 1500 people on site, so this is a very small festival, many of the bands will be milling around for you to meet and chat with, you don’t get this up close and personal touch at other festivals, get your tickets before its too late. See you all there!
