~Let it Snow~

Not much else to say here. A long work week after a long shoot last week. I find myself wishing I was as zen as our ghillie here waiting for a fish to be caught, hanging out in the hunting shack…..

~Highlands~
One of my favorite views of the year, if not my lifetime. On the last day of our McNab trip to the Isle of Harris earlier this fall, we decided to change things up and walk into a mostly unfished drainage at sunrise. A truly mind blowing experience cresting the ridge and looking down into one of the prettiest valleys around. To give it some perspective, my dad is somewhere in this frame. Some truly core memories from the Scottish Highlands earlier this year….

~The First~
This has been a year of chasing Atlantics for me. 3 trips on two continents, and I finally did it this summer. The kicker to all of this; the fish came on my great grandfathers 1930s Hardy Perfect. It was passed down to me years ago from my late grandfather, but I made a decision to only fish it on wild Atlantic salmon Rivers. It was what they did with it, and I wanted to honor the tradition. Some quests are bigger than simply catching a fish….
