My kids always ask me “mommy, you happy?” They’re mimicking what they hear from me, constantly making sure they’re happy.
Yes kids, mommy is SO happy. I’m IRIE just knowing I get to raise my babies around this. As hesitant as I’ve been to share media of my kids these days, I had to cuz up til this point in my life, this video is it for me as a simple island girl born & raised in Hawaii nei. Singing with top ranking MANA WAHINE vocalists when the backing band is the foundation of my all time fave music (Ooklah the Moc is my no1 favorite band ever), all the while my kids are soaking it in ❤️💛💚 Always dreamt of being a mom, but this moment made me feel like this is the mom I’ve always dreamt of being.
@misslulumx 🥹 I pledge my allegiance to you my queen lol you are a force in this scene, holding your ground for us women & empowering us to do the same in this community full of kane. Aloha Ke Akua
Mahalo no keia la
Mahalo for my strong body, good heart, clear mind and happy spirit.
Help me take care of my ohana & aina.
Mahalo Ke Akua, po malie, I’ll see you in the morning.
I made up this prayer when Punohu was an infant & still say it every night with him but now, he says it for us. We pray to the most high without knowing what that being looks like. We say Ke Akua without attaching God to a specific history. We just know there is a higher power that loves regardless of what religion, culture, ethnicity, boundary that humans have created.
I still don’t understand how people can defend any action of hate - whether that’s promoting or physically separating families thru forced deportation or death. I’m not blind to what hate looks like. And Jah/Jesus/Buddha/etc… Ke Akua would never approve of that.
I just wanna say that I personally dislike country or pop songs covered with a reggae beat. My disgust for reggae being dismissed as good vibes to smoke & drink to is growing heavier because these are some heavy times.
If we thought the world was fcked up, well the world is literally our backyard full of shit that just keeps piling. Every day, families are being separated by genocide & forced deportation. The livelihoods of farmers, educators, environmentalists & other impactful roles have been defunded.
We are so fckn privileged for just being able to walk outside without the fear of bombs dropping or being detained. And we are ignorant/arrogant if we can watch this happen from behind a screen and have no opinion on it or even to defend it.
Posting this again cuz these songs were written years ago and STILL musical weapons is our only protection as reggae artists. All this singing candy music is overlapping the truth that reggae came out of oppression. So stop pumping your lips with filler & pump out some truth instead. Stop dancing with platforms & actually use your platform. It’s our responsibility not just as reggae artists, but as humans, to protect truth & rights of those who are defenseless against the Babylon we are facing today. And if you’re a reggae artist supporting this administration, then that’s more than a little stupid of your small stick energy. #iykyk
I’ve been angry, anxious & emotional. I don’t understand how you can’t be. Respectfully, get real.
Aloha aina is not just an action, it’s a perspective, a value, a way of life. Mahalo @sustainablecoastlineshawaii@puuhonuaowaimanalo for inviting people into this wahi pana to understand & cultivate aloha aina. So grateful I got to share my mele with na mea kanu, na kiai, a me ka aina o Waimanalo.
The full gig is now up on my YouTube (link in bio) 🤗
Mahalo Ivy @histylemedia for creating this video for me!!!
Trying to be “better” at posting music content cuz supposedly that’s how you prove you’re a “better” artist these days. I just think my time is “better” spent writing music. Anyway, “Better” produced by @dr.dubnstein & mastered by @dm_kahn , streaming on all platforms… since 2020 😅
Guitar/looping: @lovahmonstylee_ 🙏🏽
live-streaming from the Mothers Day Market at Ala Kukui, Hana (more on this later) 🙏🏽💕 Mahalo for inviting me, Hana.

So much to share about my first adventure to Aotearoa, it’s gonna have to be multiple posts tho cuz the magic of this country is just so abundant… for me, it all began with the forging of the Great Rings 😆🧝🏽♀️
Jk it ended here, but I really wanted to visit all the other locations the movie was shot in. We just didn’t have enough time. Glad we at least made it to the Shire ✨
A full week of my bio description + mana wahine in various elements + a cameo of a hot bass player… no wait, that’s Jason Momoa 😂😂😂
I’m truly joking about the first part, but that really is Jason Momoa murdering the bass 😨 brah, take it easy.
