These past 8 months have honestly felt like a dream come true.
I’m incredibly grateful for the team behind Bar Eugenie who worked alongside Ronnie, Lee, and me to bring 89 Harbord St to life. Really proud of what we built together, and looking forward to what’s next!
@bar.eugenie is open! I am so happy that one of the great Toronto restaurant locations has been turned into something so phenomenal. Chef Rebekah, Ronnie and Lee have created a truly special neighborhood spot - and have done a beautiful job with the house at 89 Harbord street, which of course if you are old enough to know, is a space that's near and dear to the hearts of locals. The food, drinks and service are incredible. I can't even say which item was my favorite, each dish was better than the last (recency bias?)
I can't wait to regularly perch myself at the bar and have a Guinness and the bone marrow... I guess I do have a favorite!
Thank you for asking me to shoot!
I fell in love with restaurants as a kid—the food, the community, the chaos. I’ve wanted to open a place of my own for so long, and when I met @rebemb and @leebobonds , I knew they were the ones to build it with.
Bar Eugenie is a labour of love—fueled by sweat, laughter, tears, beers… and several meltdowns. It took us some time.. and a lot of paint… but it’s almost done, and it ours… We couldn’t have done it without our family and friends— we love you, and we’re forever grateful.
It’s almost time to share our dream with you. Come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready for a little magic in the chaos @bar.eugenie eugenie 🧡🍾
Big thanks to:
@tryfonbh and the rest of the team for tolerating our shenanigans
@natifishman for making all of our gorgeous plate ware
@confitdesign@spilledmalik
… and all the opening staff—we love you 😘
