I went incrementally up and stopped at 7 out of 10. Absolutely crazy how you can go from a very useful short stereo width to the sound of a cathedral while the entire unit captures the character of the room. I’ve used it on countless songs so far and it still blows my mind every single day.

@reverbophone on 3 out of 10, lots of saturation on various drum mics and a whole bunch of overdubs that morph with the drums. I squashed the cheap mono ribbon knee mic in the verse with the @standard.audio Level Or and then sent it through the @soundtoys microshift, which makes the mono mic sound super wide. Pretty cool trick 👨🏻🍳

We wanted to take some new photos of the Reverbophone, and luckily we had orders in every color option—perfect timing to also showcase the latest updates since the previous batch.
We’ve reworked the remote system so it now operates much more smoothly and can receive signals from up to about 1000 meters (3000 feet). We’ve also integrated the input directly into the main faceplate.
In addition, we’ve made some minor aesthetic refinements to the remote.
What a milestone: our first container is now en route to the USA

90% of the drum sound comes from three sources. The SM57 pointing at my shoulder through the @walrusaudioeffects DFX-1 for saturated spring reverb, the @reverbophone standing next to my floor tom and a cheap Golden Age Project ribbon mic pretty much right in front of my hi-hat pedal with the tube preamp turned all the way up. I’m also terrible at math. But it’s basically these three mics. Anyway - I like the sound. A lot.
