Mikaela Davis and Southern Star - Play Dead (2025)
Last month I had the chance to see and meet @mikaeladavis live at @phuzzsounds and I picked up this vinyl-exclusive album filled with covers of The Grateful Dead. Although Ive heard these songs so many times over the years, Mikaela and co. bring a saccharine energy to these tracks, especially with the inclusion of the harp. I had such an incredible time at Phuzz Phest, and a large part of my excitement was to witness the first ever @fauntempol set! It was a night of firsts, including my inaugural film shoot, as in I've literally not shot film at all before this day.
