Martina is one of the last artisans in Italy to practice the traditional weaving of willow full time. Each basket is made entirely by hand using Italian willow that is first seasoned for a year, then rehydrated before weaving begins. Through the intricate ajours technique, Martina creates a pattern that allows light and air to pass through the weave, casting shifting shadows all around

The Martina Basket M began, like many things at Reschio, with a simple family observation. The Bolzas wanted guests to find something both beautiful and useful waiting in their rooms: a basket sturdy enough to carry towels and books to the pool, yet refined enough to feel entirely at home within the rooms.
