Do you want to know why I started the Repurposer Collective? Very simple - to spread the joy of reuse and repurposing for art. And to support each other in our repurposing endeavors. The community has been slowly growing and or course evolving for over three years now. We just entered our 4th year! And you know what’s the BEST part of it? It’s the way we connect with each other. We are kindred spirits here. Join us! 🌍 🌎 🌏 #artbynatalya #SustainableCreativity #natalyakhorover #natalyakhoroverartist #reimaginewaste

April started with flowers — and YOU showed up to make them. 🌸♻️ 30 days. 30 prompts. Countless pieces of plastic saved from landfills and oceans and turned into something STUNNING. Milk tabs ➜ petals. Plastic straws ➜ blooms. Tiny jar seals ➜ wildflowers. That’s the magic of this community. 🌍✨ Every person who participated, shared, or even just stopped to look — you’re part of this. The more eyes on this project, the greater the chance we have of shifting how people think about single-use plastic. This wasn’t just an art challenge. It was proof that creativity + community = change. See you next Earth Month? 💐 #EarthMonthChallenge #RepurposedArt #EarthMonth2026 #PlasticPollution #ArtActivism Art seen in this reel is by: Kate Egnaczak @train_by_living Marsha Borden @marshamakes Mindy Kombert @plasticandpearls.art Neha Luhar nehaluharartg Sharon Williams @williamssharoneco Tash Gross @plasticpatchprince Cynthia Walat @plastic_fibers ⬆️ @RepurposerCollective members AND @ei.ole.kollephemerolle @rachelbarns.art @stitched_and_thready @marycharleedesigns 🌍 🌎 🌏

10 more days. 10 more flowers. 10 more pieces of plastic that never made it to the landfill. 💙🌸💜🌿🌸💙💜🌸🌸🌟 Creeping Speedwell → Sweet Pea → Hydrangea → Bear’s Breeches → Red Clover → Dayflower → Columbine → Zinnia → Geranium → Dandelion. Ten more stories. Ten more rescues. Ten more tiny acts of transformation that add up to something that feels genuinely big. Plastic mesh. Unidentifiable plastic bits. Coffee lids. Crinkly plastic stretched into petals, snipped into leaves, shaped into flowers. None of it was supposed to be beautiful. And yet. 🌱 And we end with the dandelion — dismissed as a weed, essential to the world. Every bee in early spring has depended on it. Every child has scattered its seeds on the wind. That’s what this whole month has been about, hasn’t it? Making the overlooked matter. Showing up for the small things until they become something undeniably big. THIRTY DAYS. We did it. 🎉 Thirty flowers. Thirty rescues. Thirty small acts of transformation. Which flower from days 21–30 was your favorite to make — or your favorite to see? Tell me below 👇 #EarthMonthChallenge #RepurposedArt #TrashToTreasure #30DayChallenge #artbynatalya

Day 30 — DANDELION! 🌟 We end where we might have begun — with the most ubiquitous, most overlooked, most underestimated flower of all. Taraxacum officinale. The dandelion. “Lion’s tooth,” from the French dent de lion, named for its jagged leaves. Native to Eurasia. Now naturalized across the entire Northern Hemisphere. Every child has blown a dandelion clock and scattered its seeds on the wind. Every gardener has cursed it. Every bee in early spring has depended on it. Dismissed as a weed. Essential to the world. THIRTY DAYS. We did it. 🎉 Thirty flowers. Thirty rescued pieces of plastic. Thirty small acts of transformation. We made the invisible visible. We turned trash into treasure. We showed up, every single day, and made something. 🔴 Going LIVE later to make my final piece — join me for the big finish and let’s celebrate together! Tag @artbynatalya so I can celebrate YOU. 🌍💚 PS! TODAY is the last day to join Repurposer Collective!! Don’t miss out! Doors close at midnight. #EarthMonthChallenge #RepurposedArt #TrashToTreasure #Dandelion #artbynatalya

Day 29 of 30. The penultimate petal. 🌸 I started this challenge thinking I was just going to make some art. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d actually see. The milk tab. The plastic lid. The crinkly seal on the ice cream container. Tiny things which might get tossed without a second thought — now flowers. Thirty days. Thirty prompts. Thirty little bits of plastic that didn’t make it to a landfill. Am I proud? Yes. Tired? Also yes. Ready to see it all come together? Absolutely. One more day. Then we see this garden together. 🪡 Join me — and tag me @artbynatalya so I can share your work! Every little bit counts. #EarthMonthRepurposedArtChallenge #RepurposedArt #PlasticFree #EarthMonth2026 #TrashToTreasure Share your creations and tag me and @repurposercollective !

Day 29 — GERANIUM! 🌸 Wild geranium (Geranium maculatum) goes by so many names: cranesbill, spotted cranesbill, alum root, wood geranium. It grows in dense patches in woodland openings across eastern North America, in that particular light that filters through deciduous trees. I love a plant with many names. It means many people, in many places, over many generations, found it worth naming. Worth noticing. Worth knowing. This is the second-to-last day. One more sleep after this. Start thinking about what you’ll do with all 30 pieces — stitch them into a quilt? Bind them like a book? String them in a ribbon? Let them stand alone? There’s no wrong answer. 🔴 Going LIVE later to make my geranium — come join me for the second-to-last day! Tag @artbynatalya 🌱 PS! Only 2!! more days to join Repurposer Collective!! Don’t miss out! Doors close April 30th. #EarthMonthChallenge #RepurposedArt #TrashToTreasure #Geranium #artbynatalya

Day 28 — ZINNIA! 🌸🌺🌼 Oh, zinnias. Is there a more joyful flower? Warm-season. Upright. Available in every color under the sun — from 8 inches to 4 feet tall. Named for Johann Gottfried Zinn, a German botanist who studied and documented this vibrant genus. Zinnias are grown almost exclusively because they are beautiful. No medicinal use. No culinary use. Just pure, unapologetic, exuberant beauty. Today’s piece gets to be purely joyful. The fact that it’s made from rescued plastic is already the message. The art itself can just be fun. 🔴 Going LIVE later to make my zinnia — 2 days left, let’s go out with color! Tag @artbynatalya 🌈 PS! Only 2! more days to join Repurposer Collective!! Don’t miss out! Doors close April 30th. #EarthMonthChallenge #RepurposedArt #TrashToTreasure #Zinnia #artbynatalya

Day 27 — COLUMBINE! 💜 Aquilegia — Columbine — is a genus of about 60–70 species found in meadows, woodlands, and mountain slopes across the Northern Hemisphere. The genus name comes from Latin meaning “eagle,” referring to the spurred flowers that resemble eagle talons. Eagle talons. Dragon mouths (snapdragon). Lion’s teeth (dandelion). We give flowers the fiercest of names. And I think that’s right. There is something fierce about a flower. About insisting on beauty in the middle of difficulty. About choosing to make something when the easier path is to look away. 3 days left. Don’t look away. 🦅 🔴 LIVE later today making my columbine — come be fierce with me! Tag @artbynatalya 💜 PS! Only 3 more days to join Repurposer Collective!! Don’t miss out! Doors close April 30th. #EarthMonthChallenge #RepurposedArt #TrashToTreasure #Columbine #artbynatalya

Day 26 — DAYWEED! 💙 Commelina communis, the Asiatic dayflower, gets its name from the simplest and most poignant of facts: each bloom lasts exactly one day. Open in the morning. Gone by evening. One day. One flower. One small piece of plastic saved. There’s something beautiful about the transience — and something deeply practical. You don’t need the flower to last forever for it to have been real. You don’t need your art to be in a museum for it to matter. It matters today. You make it today. That’s enough. 🔴 Going LIVE later to make my dayflower — 4 days left! Come join me. Tag @artbynatalya 💙 PS! Only 4 more days to join Repurposer Collective!! Don’t miss out! Doors close April 30th. #EarthMonthChallenge #RepurposedArt #TrashToTreasure #Dayweed #artbynatalya
