I want to sincerely thank B2’s new Captain Mammone for walking in the Dudley Triangle with me. First, we grabbed a latte @madhouse.cafe and checked out the rides/shop @madhousemotors before walking in and out of businesses along the Ave & Dudley Street corridor. I want to also thank all the business owners, residents, and Brian on my team for supporting us. Last night our Eco Dev Committee of @bostondst held a phenomenal program at thee Thelma Burns @abcdboston building in Roxbury with over 150 predominantly Black and Brown women titled , “Displaced, but not Defeated: Rebuilding our Economic Power.” I want to sincerely thank both Anna @itsafronomics and Allegra of @newmajoritycapital for their insightful presentations. I’m keenly aware and am focused on addressing the Racial Wealth Gap and Pay Gender Gap in Massachusetts. Thank you to @thediahannproject for documenting the evening. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and signed to help Team Liz officially make the ballot! Brick by brick. Block by block. People to people. Since day one, this movement has always been rooted in community and in turning talk into action.
Together, we have delivered real progress for our neighborhoods, from investments in youth violence prevention and public transit, to environmental justice, maternal health, immigrant rights, affordable housing & tackling the racial wealth gap. But there is still so much more work ahead.
I’m deeply grateful to every person who continues to believe in this movement and in the possibility of a more just, safe, and equitable Commonwealth. Let’s keep building together. #blackwomenlead
