It's that time of year again when we say farewell and thank you to our spring interns in Washington and Houston. Our 2026 interns have been extraordinary—thank you for all your efforts to help our neighbors across #TX07!
Freedom isn't free. Over our country's nearly 250 years, millions have served in our armed forces to protect our democracy, our rights, and our freedoms.
On this #ArmedForcesDay, we are forever grateful to those who committed their lives to the cause of democracy.
What a beautiful morning to break ground on the @cityofbellairetexas ' Cypress Ditch Project. It was a testament to community-driven, meaningful work to solve problems and protect our community.
Glad to join Mayor Pappas and Bellaire City Councilmembers, Texas Representative Ann Johnson, incoming Harris County Attorney Abbie Kamin, and leaders from across #TX07 on the collaborative work that made this day possible.
I was glad to secure $1,145,144 in congressional appropriations for this project through the Community Funded Project process, and to partner with this incredible team to move this project forward. This collaborative process should make us all proud!
More than 25 years ago, the FDA approved mifepristone as safe and effective. The Protecting Reproductive Freedom Act makes clear that the FDA’s authority is real and that no state can override it to deny women access to reproductive freedom.
I'm glad to introduce this important legislation with Rep. Pat Ryan, and I will continue fighting to protect reproductive freedom for women in Texas and across our country.
Having a passport before you need it helps ensure your travel plans aren't disrupted, gives you the security to move freely, and broadens your horizons.
If you need a new one or want to renew your current one, attend our Passport Fair on May 30!

On this day for those who nurture, challenge, & inspire us, I send best wishes to all the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts, and other mothers in our district. I'm so grateful and lucky that my own fabulous mom, who grew up here in #TX07, raised me here, too. #MothersDay
To the nurses who have seen it all and work long hours to help us, in #TX07 and across our community, thank you.
As health care costs rise, in Washington, I am fighting for you so that you can have the resources you need to care for our neighbors.
May 5 marks the anniversary of the Mexican army's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
Today in #TX07, we celebrate all that followed as well as the cultural contributions of Mexican-Americans to our community. Feliz #CincoDeMayo!
The wisdom, attention, and kindness of great teachers can make all the difference in our lives and in our world. Today, we thank the people who have made it their life's work to teach. Happy #NationalTeacherDay!
Houstonians deserve to have a robust EPA lab to monitor and test our air and water quality. And we have one. That's why the EPA Region 6 Lab should stay in Houston—not send the samples and the scientists to Oklahoma. I asked the EPA administrator to do so again this week when he testified before the Energy & Commerce Committee.
Next Tuesday! Stop by our Constituent Services Pop-up at the Chinese Community Center anytime between 10am and noon to talk to our constituent advocates about federal agency issues.
Happy Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! #TX07 is lucky to be home to a thriving #AANHPI community. As a member of @officialcapac , I’m proud to celebrate their diverse heritages and our shared history!
