Today is Armed Forces Day -- a day set aside to celebrate and acknowledge all the brave men and women of our armed forces.
If you know someone in the military, thank them for their service today.
Today is National Senior Fraud Awareness Day. I have been informing the public and holding hearings about senior scams throughout my second term, and combatting this type of fraud has become one of my legislative priorities.
My mother herself was a victim of senior fraud, so the issue isn't abstract -- it's personal for me. I will continue fighting for our seniors, and I look forward to informing more folks in my district and throughout the Commonwealth how to best deal with scams.
Last week, my Deputy Chief-of-Staff attended the grand opening of the Fusion Academy here in Warrington and presented them with a certificate of recognition and a Pennsylvania flag.
The Fusion Academy is a private school that runs from grades 4-12 and specializes in alternative teaching methods for students who are not receptive to traditional ones. Features include a 1 to 1 student-teacher ratio, small group classes, and even self-directed classes.
I look forward to seeing this institution and its students, faculty, and staff thrive! Welcome to the neighborhood!
As a former police officer, I understand the risks and sacrifices taken by law enforcement. These five men sacrificed everything to preserve and protect their community. The commonwealth is forever indebted to them and their families for their selfless actions. Here is some expanded video coverage from last week's police memorial in the main rotunda of the state Capitol in Harrisburg.
As a former firefighter, it was incredible to see the restored Warrington firehouse up close. This piece of history honors the brave volunteers of the Warrington Fire Company #1, who served our community and reminds us why preserving our past matters for future generations.

Last week, I was proud to present Brock Rudy with an official House Citation recognizing his status as one of the foremost high school wrestlers in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Brock has over 100 varsity wins and a 74-28 varsity record entering his senior year, as well as academic accolades. Keep up the great work, Brock!
Today is the last day to register for a mail-in ballot for May 19's Primary Election! If you would like to vote by mail, make sure to request your ballot today!

Late last month, the Law Enforcement Caucus hosted its first quarter meeting of 2026. @weaknecht (R-Berks) and I co-chaired the caucus, and set up the schedule.
It was a very productive meeting:
Rep. Tom Mehaffie (R-Dauphin) passionately supported his bill, H.B. 911 which would provide law enforcement officer benefits for the surviving family members of a fallen officer.
@rep_dougherty (D-Phila), advocated for H.B. 1289 which would provide COLA to municipal officers and firefighters.
An OSU student and entrepreneur showed us his AI law enforcement database startup, which would help consolidate information in one digital location.
I look forward to continuing discussions with my fellow members of the caucus. Thank you to all the members, officers, and speakers who attended! Special thank you to Speaker @repmcclinton for stopping by!
Today marks the beginning of National Police Week -- a week set aside to acknowledge and recognize the brave men and women who keep us safe. I would like to especially thank the officers in my district from the @warminsterpd , @warringtontwppolice , @ivylandpa Police Department, and the @nbtpd_pa .
As a former police officer myself, I can say that some of the most admirable and honorable people I have met in my career were in the force. As the chair and founder of the Law Enforcement Caucus, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support local law enforcement in the Pennsylvania House. I will always fight for the resources these profound men and women need to keep doing their job effectively and safely.
If you know a police officer, thank them for their service this week.
On Mother's Day, we celebrate and thank the extraordinary women in our lives who are mothers, grandmothers, or mother figures. Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs there is, and though there is no way to properly thank them, let's treat the moms in our life to a day of relaxation today!
I would like to especially acknowledge my mother as well as my wife, Natalie, who is the mother of my two amazing daughters -- without her, I don't know where I'd be.
Recently, @reptimbrennan and I were proud to award Eagle Scout Adhavan Balachandar a House Citation for his exemplary work with the Warrington Environmental Advisory Council.
Adhavan led a team of over 50 volunteers to plant 108 native trees and plants along the Statesman Rd detention basin, transforming it into a thriving ecosystem.
Thank you for your leadership, Adhavan! It is always exciting to meet the future leaders of our communities!
