Beyond excited to share the teaser for Age Is Just a Number, a short film I wrote and directed.
In New York City, a woman enters a silent dialogue with time. Through movement, she confronts ambition, aging, and expectation.
Grateful to the extraordinary artists who brought their craft to this piece over many months.

This spring inspired me to finally share some beautiful moments from when we were filming “Age Is Just a Number,” directed by @jumana.n.r . We were lucky to have such an incredible photographer with us on set.
I hadn’t shared these photos before, but now that the film is complete, I’m excited to start posting @jennacable_ ’s work.
Thank you for your beauty, your eye, and your unique vision ✨

Today we’re proud to share the official trailer for Moonlighting!
What began as a film about women navigating dual lives slowly revealed something deeper — a story about agency, resilience, and the courage it takes to rebuild yourself through life’s most difficult moments.
At its heart, Moonlighting follows four women actively redefining who they are and what their lives can become. Their journeys remind us that growth rarely happens in comfort — it happens in motion.
This film would not exist without the extraordinary women who trusted us with their stories, and the talented collaborators who helped bring this vision to life. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who supported the journey along the way.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we’re excited to begin introducing Moonlighting to festival audiences and the broader community of partners and collaborators who champion stories centered on women’s voices and lived experiences.
Festival journey begins soon. 🎬💫
We look forward to sharing more in the months ahead!

In December, during my film festival run in LA, I quietly slipped away to visit Paramount Studios… and they did something I’ll never forget.
They placed in my hands one of their older Academy Awards, the Oscar awarded for Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds.
I stood there holding what I’ve been teaching...
A little overwhelmed.
A little emotional.
Winning an Academy Award has always felt like a distant dream the kind you don’t say out loud too often, but carry with you quietly. The road there in my mind is long, uncertain, and humbling… but the more people I meet who have won an Oscar the more I realize it’s just baby steps over time get you where you’re meant to go.
I feel especially grateful that my latest film Halal Dreams has been accepted into @amdocfilmfest an Oscar Qualifying film festival. The path to an Oscar starts here, and I’m grateful to whatever happens next.
I’m also grateful that the film will screen at the iconic Chinese Theatre, a place that has premiered films like The Wizard of Oz, Titanic, and so many others that shaped why I fell in love with cinema in the first place.

Finally.
Sharing the first frames from a short film I directed, Age Is Just a Number.
A conceptual dance film set in New York City, exploring our relationship with time and aging.
It was inspired by a conversation around womanhood, artistry, and how our relationship with time shifts as we move through life.
A true labor of love over many, many months, deeply grateful to the artists who brought its nuance and complexity to life!

More to come 🦋
From New York to Los Angeles to Dubai, our films have been fortunate to find homes with audiences in places we never expected and awards we never imagined.
I’m incredibly thankful to the dream team who carried these stories with such care and generosity, and to the people and festivals we’ve crossed path with through our journey who believed in us.
In particular the @nyshortfilmfest for awarding us their best documentary.
@hollyshortsdubai & @filmsocietydxb for the audience award
@culvercityff for best International narrative short.
Halal Dreams continues its path with 11 awards and 19 selections so far.
while The Keyboard has received 30 selections and 11 awards. I don’t take any of it for granted.
Every screening, every conversation, every small moment of connection has reminded me why we make films and tell stories in the first place and that’s something I’m forever grateful for.
