This universal feeling of water in motion keeping the pleasurable alive, one step away from numbness. “The rivers of empires look all alike”: on Mirta, sickness and the torrid look.

That other movie made by another director from the shores that killed you, you know where they take your voice and speak for your hardships, clowning your life story to rescue an average upper middle class roman surgeon from his alienated depressing self? "The rivers of empires look all alike": on mud flowing steadily, Penelope and other sharks.

"The rivers of empires look all alike" digital, 3-channel video, 2025 If only your activism had been more showgirly, the other shore would have loved. They would have welcomed you like a second brunette Cicciolina! On grief, waters and Bacterium coli

I had white cotton in my yard, I fed it, I watered it, has been a journey of reflections, sung nostalgia and new rhythmic continuities. The work was part of: “She Who Starts The Song…” for the 17th Gjon Mili International Exhibition of Photography and Moving Image, National Gallery of Kosova, with faithful companion in love and disruption Klodiana Millona Beautifully curated by @valentine.umansky and @halilajhana with an exeptional opening night. Special thanks to @jakashkamb , @engjellberisha and @drita__kabashi for the support and exchange. Thankful for the artist encountered and for those I got to know better. Gratitude to @halilajhana for the support and for being the perfect host, making Prishtina more special than it already was to my heart. We experience a constant disconnection to the land and to ourselves because of migration, cultural supremacist enclosures, racisms. These elements infiltrate our histories and our diasporic experiences. By creating obeying systems, they bring us back to our disconnections using the distance of migration so that we make a consumption of ourselves to better suit their gaze. I had white cotton in my yard, I fed it, I watered it, infiltrates the cracks of these systems with a sincere and unapologetic desire to grasp the unsettled beauty of departing, of coming back and all the songs carrying what we loose in each direction. Grateful to @millonaliu for the ever sincere sense of responsibility and for having the same spirit of defying the pleasing and the distracting. Much gratitude to the jury, consisting of Marina Grzinic, Zef Paci, and Stamatis Schizakis, for recognising our work with the Gjon Mili Award. In the pics I had white cotton in my yard, I fed it, I watered it. Vera Hadzhihyska @verahadzhiyska With the Name of a Flower, a multi-disciplinary project, 2017 - 2019, photographic series Saodat Ismailova, video work: Melted Into the Sun, 2024 @saodatismailova Mountain trip with @glorijalizde , @halilajhana , @astritismaili_ , @maria.mavropoulou , @millonaliu @agrina_vllasaliu_art 🤍 Prishtina love by night, by day, by jeta burger

"I had white cotton in my yard, I fed it, I watered it" Part of UnNatural Encounters, celebrating 7 years of @european_media_art_platform curated by @silent.green and @transmediale . Much gratitude for the work and thoughtfulness! Produced with EMAP Partner @onassis.stegi In this work, mobility of sound and body places migrant subjects on the verge of a perpetual shifting, or in the words of Algerian-French sociologist Abdelmalek Sayad in a life of “double absence”. Movement and human subject are narrated through their in-between status where the question of belonging crystallises as an unsettled experience of being. The performers’ bodies serve as both repositories of memory and conduits for its transmission allowing for new forms of commonality, of returning, and of re-vivifying the rural. 1-6. I had white cotton in my yard, I fed it, I watered it 7. Nature makes no noise by @davorsanvincenti 9. Endlager by Juliane Jaschnow& @stefanieschroeder87 10. Outside Natural Encounters 11. Perfect Opening ending with @otreaifos

Hard-boiled, contained, evaporated! 3 channel video installation Economizing bodily fluids in the intimacy of dictatorships. A labor of whitening and killing all the germs. A work on memories of water, kerosene, menstruation, waiting lines and the borders of skin and self. Gestures carried to the presence of forgetfulness.
