at @holdingspace.place collage night
@reminderstomyfutureself asked a bunch of people what was on their spring bucket list for the latest @hudsonvalleyone spring explore magazine and drew some of the responses.
here are some of my favorite answers, though they were saved for summer’s:
“I really want to head up to the lake. I want to go to a waterpark because I want to go on a waterslide. I want to see my cousins Everly and Atlas. I see them at summer camp. It’s one of the only times I see them and we really like hanging out with each other. This is my last year of summer camp, so next year I can become a counselor. And if I do that until I’m 16, I become a full counselor.”
-George, 13 years old (but he turns 14 in a month)
“Swim. Meet my friends up at the lake house. Play with my friends more often because I don’t have to do homework.”
-Bo, 9 years old
“I’m looking for flowers because you can pick them. You can find lots and lots of grass and plant with water. Light bugs come when it’s spring.when we go in spring, we drink lots of water and there are birds. And eagles. Woodpeckers come, bluebirds. You can eat celery, you can eat ice cream.”
-Ella, 4 years old.
“I’m looking for flowers. I like roses. I leave flowers around so the bees can have them.”
-Mia, 5 years old
(None of these children heard any of the other’s answers)
