BREAK IT DOWN - @renaomusic What is for you, will be for you. What is not, is sure to leave. We see Renao’s mind wander as he rides through the night. We shot this video on a freezing cold evening in December - not an ideal time to be filming off the back of a truck but the video makes it worth it. We only had 3 rolls of film and a few hours with the low-loader so shoutout to the whole team for working so efficiently into the early hours. Feels good to see the song and video finally release, go run up the streams for my bro. Maple Sea Salt for @roddsroddsrodds !! Directed a couple social commercials for the lovely guys at Rodd’s. We built two surreal worlds of a lumberjack and a diner to launch their new flavour. Given the surreal touch, I’ve seen a ton of comments questioning if this was AI but it was definitely not! We built real sets & heightened them alongside great VFX artists Thanks to the whole Rodd’s team for having me, the coffee is so good btw. A live performance of Love Language By @sekou for @pinterest !! Directed this live session a couple weeks back for Pinterest’s broaches campaign. Felt like broaches are the ultimate form of layering so wanted to build a multi-layered stage & have interest of Sekou’s broaches layered across screens in the performance. BABY BOY @kojeyradical & @therealghetts Dir by Relta The third & final music video taken from the Don’t Look Down album film. I remember feeling a little nervous for this video before the shoot, I had such a specific tone in mind and amongst the amount of scenes we had to capture for the film I wasn’t able to prep this one as much as I’d hoped. It was the final song we shot for the film & by the time we got to it, it felt like everybody was in flow state, the blocking & sequences all came together so naturally. The split screen edit took me days to nail though. Last post for this film, unless we win the mva. Full credits on Vimeo! Thank you again to everyone who put their all into this project.
