'Flor de la Muerte' is now on display for Harvest Nights at @newfieldstoday 🎃👻🎃💀 She stands over 7' tall & is located near the Lily House! 'Flor de la Muerte, the grim reaper of petrified plants. Its beauty is meant to draw you in, close enough so that you can then become a part of Flor de la Muerte. It petrifies you and you slowly start to become part of the grim reaper. You can escape but only by relieving yourself of your comfortabilities. As it takes you and turns you into fossilized wood it is then said that anyone who takes the fossilized wood will be struck with a curse and years of bad luck. Be careful of becoming too comfortable otherwise the Flor de la Muerte may soon pay you a visit.' The ward’s intake reaches a state of tactile restoration within the Compassion Department as we authorize the opening of Room 61. Introducing Ginger “Relly” Pearson (@relly.inc ), a multidisciplinary specialist based in Indianapolis. Through her signature practice, Pan’s Feast, Ginger blends painting and sculpture using layered joint compound, resin, and deep textures to create environments that demand physical interaction. Her work is a study in the “emotionally charged,” turning raw materials into sensory experiences. For the Hospital of Emotions, Ginger has engineered an intervention titled “Mid-Repair.” Utilizing oversized, plush-inspired sculptural forms and childhood symbolism, the installation examines the process of rebuilding the self after hardship. By exposing the seams and highlighting the structural vulnerability of her forms, she proves that being “in repair” is not a failure, but a natural, human state that requires the medicine of compassion.
