BACK ON TRACK ❄ WC LILLEHAMMER 🇳🇴
Nach einer Woche Pause zu Hause sind wir zurück – diesmal in Lillehammer, wo an diesem Wochenende gleich zwei Rennen im großen Schlitten stattfinden werden.
Da beim kommenden Rennwochenende in Sigulda wie üblich zwei Zweier-Rennen auf dem Programm stehen, werden in Lillehammer als Ausgleich zwei Vierer-Rennen ausgetragen.
Francesco Friedrich / Bob: „Das erste Training war ziemlich gut, normalerweise ist es hier im Vierer immer ziemlich ruppig, schön Fahren ist was Anderes. Dennoch steht die Bahn sehr gut, wir waren zufrieden und es hat alles gepasst. Nach dem langen Reisetag am Montag sind wir sehr happy, dass wir das Training am Dienstagfrüh so gut absolviert haben.
Die Woche Pause war sehr gut daheim, aber man war auch ganz schön erschlagen und sehr müde. Man hatte durch das viele Essen in den Wochen davor in Cortina und Innsbruck gar nicht so viel Hunger. Man hat daheim ja auch immer etwas zu erledigen. Aber der Start am Dienstag in Lillehammer war gut, und wir freuen uns natürlich auch darauf, wenn es am 22. Dezember wieder nach Hause geht und wir über Weihnachten durchschnaufen können.“
Am Samstag geht es um 13:00 Uhr mit Startnummer 5 in die Olympia Bahn von 1994.

Cortina, you spoiled me.
I knew this will be a challenging venue, specially avoiding any construction in photos but I guess challenges and pressure can makes us perform better.
Exploring the track trough the week walked 84km. Cannot wait what the track will look in couple of months for 2026 Winter Olympics.
Thanks to @ryanpierse and @alexpantling for extra inspiration and the biggest thanks goes to everyone at the track sharing their smiles- that is what makes me keep going.

There are no problems only solutions or in another words no one is remembering easy traveling and this one is the one to remember. For two days we got stuck in Bavaria when trailer bearing needed whole axel replacement and few minutes later even our car broke down. Thanks to super kind locals for their help lending us tools and quick car service so we could finish our 3000km trip to San Nazzaro, Italy for european championship.
