Refractive are launching a 6-week Advanced Skills course in Social Documentary Photography with acclaimed photographer Kirsty Mackay at the Liberal Club, Paisley.
This practical course is designed to help photographers develop their own visual voice while exploring people, place, identity and community through documentary practice. Expect hands-on exercises, discussion, feedback, and a chance to build a stronger body of work in a supportive creative environment.

Our next Featured Filmmaker is Wilma Smith! 🎬
Wilma Smith is a writer/director and dedicated woeking mother from Coatbridge. Her own story and passion for telling stories through film of all genres started at the age of 13 when she borrowed a VHS camera and Dictaphone to make her first stop motion animation. Wilma has been selected for this year’s Netflix funded Women in Film & Television Four Nations Mentoring Scheme.
