I sat down with the owner of Reflex Wraps, who’s been in business for 8 years.
His advice was raw and honest.
He said there are no friends in business — and if you’re thinking about going into business with friends, think twice.
When I asked what he’d tell his younger self, his answer surprised me: “Don’t do it.”
Not because it isn’t worth it — but because the sacrifice is real. Long hours. Missed time. Constant pressure.
The rewards are there, but they don’t come without a cost.
As for work-life balance? He said it doesn’t just “happen.” You have to schedule it.
Put the phone down. Be present when you can.
This is the side of business most people don’t post about.
