Today’s pop-up @dabble_crc for @refashionshow was a reminder that clothing doesn’t have to end up in a landfill to be “finished.” A little creativity, repair, and love can turn forgotten pieces into something completely new. Every stitch is proof that fashion can be expressive and sustainable.
So grateful to share my work alongside @thesewinglabva and other creatives who believe in giving textiles a second life. Hoping this is just the beginning and maybe even a step toward the runway in the future. 💚✂️

People often ask me what my process is like. They usually want to know if I have this whole plan and if I draw out a design and just....no....not at all.
As a sustainable fashion designer working with discarded materials, I'm really constrained by what I have on hand. I don't try to fit things into a preconceived vision. I start with the materials and then let things transform and come together, like a puzzle.
I always look at the pieces with great awe and reverence, giving them credit as being co-collaborators in the project. Like, "wow, you really had big dreams for yourself, you dirty little pillowcase! Look at how you manifested this new version of yourself! 👏👏👏" ...and honestly, this is how we should be looking at everything.
