The world needs more dreamers. We are overrun with opportunists and entrepreneurs that desire to exploit and utilize the systems that turn art into commodity, afraid that the only success that matters is displayed on a bank statement. To create is to allow yourself (and possibly others) into your dreams and David Lynch understood that innately. He welcomed us into his creations and showed us his spectrum of wonder, all of its beauty and all of its suffering. He is, for me as he is for many others, a master painter of emotional complexity and my favorite filmmaker. Until today, I couldn't imagine a world without David Lynch. See you on the other side. The dream of dreams.
