Glory Be. Yesterday, was one of the greatest days of my life. For nearly 5 years @breadwinnerbuzz who handles sticks duties for everyone from @iamkevingates to @adele and is the anchor for the mighty @ninjasonik has been trying to get me to make music with him; which when you consider that I’m giving an abbreviated résumé for this incredible legend that now include includes the forthcoming @bjork LP? I’m amazed to even have a glorious friendship with this incredible human being so imagine having THIS GIANT annually hammering away at me that “we gotta do…something!!” Well something came. “Something More” in fact. Yesterday, this giant and I were joined by two other titans; the legend @the_andrew_raposo who in addition to his many credits throughout @dfarecs based units is also bass god for @hess_is_more @79point5 and @midnightmagicny he’s something of the root of a Brooklyn musical family tree, and we too have been speaking for many years about linking up and doing something. We hit @bunkerstudio with engineer GOD @aaron_nevezie and began the magic. We intended to track only the one… and walked away with two. I have been waiting my whole life for this moment. No disco balls. Just pure organic US, instruments, and vibe. I’m back on the piano where I belong and should have stayed. I have never been more grateful. I have never been more humbled. Thank you Buzz. Thank you Andrew. Thank you Aaron. Thank you universe. There is only forward.

This piano is truly special, but it’s time for it to leave us! . So many great records feature this instrument; it has been recorded on by dozens of modern legends, and is on a few Grammy-winning albums . We’re excited to welcome our newly-restored 9’ Steinway D, but it’s definitely bittersweet—this 7’8” piano is quite uniquely-good; one of the best we’ve ever heard . Fully rebuilt less than a decade ago by Jim Ialeggio and lovingly maintained ever since by @jamescarneypianoworks , this instrument will make someone truly happy . if you or someone you know might want to give this piano a new home, please don’t hesitate to reach out via our booking email and inquire!

Thrilled to announce the completion of our latest build for our esteemed client @bunkerstudio ; a 1972 NY Steinway Model D concert grand piano. Last December, John, Aaron, and I found this diamond in the rough, and although it needed massive amounts of work and was basically unplayable, we knew it had excellent potential. We kept the soundboard - which is in incredibly beautiful shape - but we've replaced the entire action, the backaction (damper system), modified the trapwork, replaced the agraffes, strings, all felt, cloth, leather; and tweaked the geometry with customized hammers and a reweighed keyset. Big news at Bunker, and an opportunity for anyone looking for an amazing grand piano! . Our 7’5” Steinway C is by no means a small piano—we never really found it to be lacking in any way . But there’s something iconic about the legendary 9’ model D, and in collaboration with @jamescarneypianoworks we will be welcoming a beautifully-restored D very soon . We wish we could keep the C—which was expertly rebuilt by Jim Ialeggio and lovingly maintained by James Carney—but we don’t have the space for two grand pianos .
