Yesterday was a damn near perfect day. If Alabama had won, it wouldāve been.
I had a *sublime* lunch at the venerable @chelseaartsclub with my pal and bonafide music legendā John Porter. Iām friendly with John because he produces all of Jon Clearyās records, but Iām close with John because heās just a top notch guy.
This is a man who produced How Soon is Now?, Love is Hell, tons of Buddy Guy, B.B. King, a classic R.L. Burnside recordā¦ and a whole lot more. Heās an absolute monster gentleman, and if you donāt know about him, you should. He deserves his flowers.

The first ride of the Markeyās Ninth Ward House Band was a riot. Thanks for coming out, everyone. I hope yāall had as much fun as we did. I believe the bar did end up running out of Guinnessā¦ so that certainly suggests you did.
My highlight of the night was getting back on stage with my buddy Dick. He may not be feeling his best right now, but he brought the house down. Music has a way of lifting us. We are privileged to participate in that!

I took a disposable b/w camera to Havana last year and forgot to get it developed until last week. Iām no photographer but Iāve always wanted to try! Iām happy with how some of these came out.
Cuba has been on my mind lately with all the reckless shit coming out of Washington. Iām not foolish enough to think I have all the answers, but I hope those that are keep the people of Cuba first and foremost in their minds and actions. I know they wonāt, but thatās my hope.
