analog visuals for @nebraskansport SS26 featuring the 1201 straight leg pant in olive drab, handmade by @kai__________star , featuring @caitlynnewport
from the repurposed wwii-era military sea bags that the pants are composed of, to the silver prints shown here made slowly in my darkroom, this work embraces the imperfection of handmade processes to study utility, emotion, and product, crafted within the transience of the american midwest
shot at the buckeye inn express motel in columbus, home to the weary traveler, lowlife, and vagabond alike
Only 10 copies of THE ACRES remain available. Thank you to all who have supported this work. 🤎

Upon learning of Al’s coming death, I hastened to visit him on his property in rural Ohio, moved by curiosity. As I bumped down the long drive leading to his home that was rare to accept a visitor, the low morning sun of a waning autumn revealed to me The Acres, a fabled hermitage that until that time had only existed in my imagination. Al and I wandered the land together, and the ground unfurled before us — hoarfrost cracking under our feet, overgrown brambles tugging at our clothes. Conversation felt superfluous, and drifted by only on occasion. And it took little time to feel how such land might shape a person, and in turn, how a person might submit to such a place; to flesh out the man I had been curious about; to see that The Acres were in Al and Al was in The Acres.
