EXCITING NEW COFFEE PARTNERSHIP
We're excited to announce our latest coffee from Brazil. This is a great tasting coffee with an even greater impact for farmers and the environment.
Our first shipment comes from Afonso's farm in Minas Gerais, Elói Mendes. Afonso's journey in coffee began with his father, Jaci, who instilled in him a passion for farming. Today, Afonso and his wife, Jaísa, work together to carry on the family legacy, hoping to pass it down to their children one day.
We have bought this coffee through @minasulspecialtycoffee , a forward-thinking cooperative dedicated to empowering small family farms in Brazil. Minasul is changing how coffee contracts typically work by giving producers more control over their incomes.
This partnership was made possible through our collaboration with @skylark.coffee , which allows us to share a few full containers of this coffee each year resulting in a steady supply of high-quality coffee while supporting a great project in Brazil. It’s great to collaborate with like minded roasters to bring real change to our industry and we look forward to how this can develop going forward.
This coffee now makes up a large percentage of our best selling Sanctuary Blend and will be available as a single in the coming weeks and we can’t wait for you to try it!

With their dedication and passion, they create a fulfilling coffee experience while advocating for a society that values everyone’s potential. They equip people with learning disabilities and autism with the skills and experience they need to thrive in meaningful employment. With only 4.7% of adults with learning disabilities in England in paid work, 76% of Team Domenica candidates find work and 82% sustain their roles for two years or more.
We have worked with @teamdomenica for many years now in a number of different ways. Other than packing our coffee, they also roast their own blend on our machine and we employ two of their graduates in one of our restaurants.

Our beloved Kinini Rwanda is back in stock and this time it’s even more delicious and juicy 🍇🍫 The perfect coffee to enjoy over the Easter weekend!
We have bought from the guys at Kinin for years and supported them in the building of a school back in 2016. This latest lot is a delicious anaerobic processed red bourbon where coffee grows in a small area near the washing station, about a 90-minute drive from Kigali’s centre. The washing station is modern and the owners are expanding it due to the high demand for their coffee. We’re delighted to have a special relationship with them and farmers, allowing us to bring this coffee to you.

HOME BREWING CLASS ☕️
Thanks to all the @sussexuni students who participated in our home brew class on Monday - we had an amazing time! We explored brewing techniques using aeropress, french press, and v60.
