The course that changed my life. During covid, we wrote a letter to the NFTS asking for us to be allowed to continue the course despite the pandemic. The school listened, we were offered online masterclasses and intensive sessions on our chosen specialism. I specialised in producing. Best decision I ever made.

What an amazing experience to see something I worked on, on the big screen at Birmingham Town Hall! I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing myself on screen 🤣 spot me sippin port in the background of the film.🍷Joe and Shaun certainly brought the lols, good films, and good vibes at the launch of Flatpack 2022. 👏 Huge congrats to Joe as well for last night’s Late Night Lycett, excited for the rest of S2.

During covid I worked on my first short film where I wasn’t a student! Hair Ties, supported by @neilhimself , had such a fantastic and supportive team behind it.🥰 I worked with producer @sofiaaabug creating call sheets, contact lists, and researching catering.📑 On set I worked with the camera team, helping with lighting and clapper loading.🎬 Such a brilliant experience💖

After the pre-residential we went straight into lockdown! We had no idea if the world would go back to normal or if we would ever return to complete out course, so @nftsfilmtv kindly offered us a few fantastic masterclasses over zoom to keep us motivated and creative at home. 3 years ago, I was lucky enough to take part in the NFTS Craft Skills course where I made some new friends and met up with some old friends. Little did I know that this weekend of filmmaking and fun was almost the end, as the pandemic hit us veeeery soon after. We discussed our film projects like all was going to be fine and did team building exercises where I rode a segway for the first time! We also watched some amazing short films and had industry masterclasses with fab people like Laurie Nunn and Charlie Manton. I’ll never forget this fantastic weekend 💙🥰🎬🍿🛴

Thought I’d kick off the year with a bit of inspiration. This NFTS pop up is what sparked my passion for being a Producer. I had thoughts of being in the production office before but I thought thats probably too difficult or I would never be able to work there. This talk made me think, maybe it is possible that I could be a Producer or even take the Producers course at NFTS one day. A goal I’m many moons away from, but I’ve definitely made my start and I’m so proud of myself for carrying on even when the going gets tough. I love being a Producer and working in the production office. I hope to grow and expand my knowledge as much as I can. I’m excited for my future. 🌟

Premiere time!🕺🏻I was so proud of the kids and how the film turned out. I helped document their digi-skills fair before the premiere and I did portraits of the students with their final certificates after the screening yayy.🏆🎟️ I also stuck around to help with the students portfolios for their Arts Awards.
