Our complimentary Kids Drop-Off was a huge success. The kids explored, created and built, under the care of experienced nature-play educators from @freetobebushplay .
And then they didn’t want to leave when parents returned from the wild.

It’s World Donkey Day! And we’ve just donated $2K to support @animalaidabroadinc in their work supporting donkeys in Tanzania!
Donkeys must be the hardest working, and most under appreciated, animals on the planet. Pushed to the brink on construction sites and mines, kept in dreadful conditions, the sweet and gentle donkeys of the world deserve our care and respect. In Tanzania, donkeys work in the gold mines and while we can’t stop this, we can help them live better lives and get the care they need, both during their working lives and when injured, sick or elderly.
Working with @animalaidabroadinc over the last year or so, we’ve been able to help make a huge difference with a relatively small investment for the goldmine donkeys. They now have a sanctuary for retirement and recuperation, regular vet attention, reliable food sources and simple things like a ramp to help injured donkeys be moved that make a world of difference to these animals (check out the Red Parka ramp in use in the photos!).
Today, to celebrate World Donkey Day which was established to bring awareness to the plight of donkeys, we just donated a further $2000 to reinforce the current stable to protect the donkeys from predators like hyenas, as well as chipping in for the funding to build a new hospital stable to provide better care for injured and sick donkeys.
We feel that so many people have no idea about the plight of donkeys around the world so we hope by supporting this sanctuary, we not only help the donkeys but also help raise awareness. Working animals are often forgotten but we remember them, support them and love them from afar as best we can!
$2000 for koalas! Did you miss Wild Koala Day on Sunday? We’re a few days late to tell you because we find it impossible to keep up in this place, but we did remember and as we always do on Koala Day, we donated to two of our favourite koala charities @australiankoalafoundation and @portstephenskoalahospital - it’s crazy that our iconic koalas are so under threat, so thank you for helping us help them! Here’s a little range of some of our koala products - every purchase helps us donate more funds to create a kinder, safer world, for koalas as well as other creatures. So thank you!

👌The BushPlay Kids Drop-off is run by Roxanne and the amazing team at @freetobebushplay . They set up in the bush at each of our event hubs, bringing all sorts of activities, from water play to clay medals, swings and bark painting. The kids quite literally have the best time and don’t want to leave!
