Endlich, die dritte Ausgabe der cheesy Reihe ist da und dieses Mal mit einem besonderen Gast.
Meiner Frau.
Wir haben uns durch Musik kennengelernt und seit dem verbindet sie uns.
Wir lieben es gemeinsam Projekte zu machen, sind aber nie auf die Idee gekommen gemeinsam Musik zu machen. Warum eigentlich nicht ?
Dieses Tape ist nicht nur zum hören da, es ist nicht nur unser gemeinsamer Mix, es soll ein Appell an uns alle sein mehr aus unserer comfort Zone zu steppen, Leidenschaft miteinander zu teilen und Neues auszuprobieren.
In welcher Form auch immer.
Wenn man wie ich schon jahrelang auflegt, ist es definitiv etwas ganz besonderes spontan ein Tape mit jemand aufzunehmen, der eigentlich nicht noch nie aufgelegt hat.
Aber unsere Geschmäcker ergänzen sich so gut dass wir einzeln Tracks rausgesucht, die Reihenfolge kuratiert und einfach auf Record gedrückt haben.
Die Aufnahme selbst war ein super aufregender Prozess, so wie die allerersten Male, als ich aufgelegt habe.
Nichts kann krasser an einen Moment erinnern als Musik die man gemeinsam gehört und gefühlt hat. Probiert das mal aus, traut euch. Das verbindet anders.

Redfocks from Cologne
Redfocks has been DJing for over 12 years, blending
house and techno with touches of dub and hip-hop.
A regular behind the decks at venues like Amp for Endstation Sehnsucht and Fusion Club, she’s
a familiar face in the local scene of Cologne.
She is also an active community organiser - a member of the Wir Schwestern collective and a founder of Qties, a space for collaboration and creativity among
FLINTA* artists, with a focus on neurodivergent
voices. Her sets are fluid and wide-ranging, always bringing something unexpected to the
floor. As an autistic person, Redfocks often finds it difficult to be in club environments
and rarely feels relaxed enough to
stay long. Playing her own sets provides a sense of safety and calm that’s hard to find
elsewhere..

Also alle die mich kennen wissen, dass es eigentlich nie Aufnahmen von mir gibt.
Meistens raubt es mir die Freiheit an den Decks und ich habe Angst nachher Fehler beim anhören zu entdecken.
Aber das macht es auch irgendwie authentisch und am Ende wurde ich oft genug ermutigt dazu mal was aufzunehmen, damit man das zuhause nochmal genießen kann.
Umso mehr freu ich mich für das Label BCCO was beisteuern zu können und wünsche mir, dass möglichst viele mal reinhören !

Everyone who knows me knows that I never actually make recordings.
Most of the time it robs me of my freedom on the decks and I'm afraid of discovering mistakes when I listen to it later.
But that also makes it somehow authentic and in the end I was encouraged often enough to record something so that you can enjoy it again at home.
So I'm all the more pleased to be able to contribute something to the BCCO label and hope that as many people as possible will give it a listen!
