An atmospheric meditation on the quiet brilliance that lives within each of us, Luminous traces the journey of light as it moves through shadow, where clarity emerges, deepens, and transforms. Subtle gradients and spectral veils of color shift gently across each surface, reflecting the way light evolves through time, memory, and emotion.
Each design holds a delicate equilibrium. Darkness is not the absence of light, but its necessary counterpart, revealing depth, nuance, and truth.

We started with paint. A series of tests, passed back and forth, refined through an ongoing dialogue between intuitive visual exploration and analytical conversation about how the eye and brain interpret gradients, contrast, and spatial depth. The result: painterly washes of light, executed by hand at full scale.

Another Milan Design Week in the books. Five days of the most concentrated design energy anywhere.
The week opened at 5vie — where our new rug Komorebi, designed for The Atelier Editions by @atelierbowy / @henzelstudio , was on view at Le Cavallerizze alongside Studio mo man tai's Re-campaign, which transformed recycled advertising banners into fifteen monumental portals.
At Alcova, the Shakti Design Residency brought global designers and Indian craft ateliers together for the first time. The Triennale delivered Andrea Branzi by Toyo Ito: Continuous Present — fifty years of radical Italian design seen through a longtime collaborator's eyes. Fondazione Prada rounded it out with Cao Fei's Dash and Hito Steyerl's The Island at Osservatorio.
On to Venice.

At this East Hampton Residence, a double-height space opens to light on three sides, anchored by a custom millwork wall and fireplace. The television tucks away, the clutter disappears, and what remains is a room designed for being together.
