CALLE HENZEL, Antica Settefrati, 2025 / 2026. Part of Calle Henzel’s ongoing Diamond Dust collection, inspired by Nordic landscapes at the point of seasonal transition — where frozen ground, melting snow, exposed vegetation, and mineral surfaces begin to dissolve into one another under shifting spring light. Soft green tonalities emerge beneath weathered layers of pale grey and stone white, evoking traces of thawing earth and the gradual return of organic movement after winter.
Edition of 99 + 1 AP. Hand knotted in wool & silk with high / low cut construction. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

CALLE HENZEL, Yxnanas (Mono Edit), 2010. Part of Calle Henzel’s ongoing Diamond Dust collection — inspired by shifting winter light, frozen surfaces, snow formations, and the fleeting luminosity of microscopic ice crystals suspended in cold air. Developed through years of experimentation in Northern Sweden, selected works and material studies were exposed to snow, ice, moisture, and seasonal transitions, allowing environmental conditions to actively shape texture, tonal movement, and surface irregularities within the hand-knotted compositions. Yxnanas (Mono Edit) reflects Henzel’s continued investigation into material transformation, atmospheric conditions, and textile form.

CALLE HENZEL, Agersbaek Fold, 2026 — from La Bocca Métallique. Through fractured tonal surfaces, irregular contours, and layered textures, the collection explores the physical transformation of material over time. Mineral-like neutrals and darker tonal movements create compositions that appear compressed, weathered, and gradually eroded, while silk elements introduce subtle silver reflections that shift with changing light.
With variations in pile height, density, and high/low cutting, Agersbaek Fold balances atmospheric softness with sculptural presence — recalling oxidized surfaces, mineral formations, and fragments shaped by external forces.

CALLE HENZEL, Osterby Fold, 2026 — from La Bocca Métallique. Through layered textures, irregular contours, and shifting tonal surfaces, the collection explores material transformation within textile form. Mineral-like neutrals, darker tonal movements, and subtle silver luminosities create surfaces that appear folded, eroded, and gradually shaped over time. With variations in pile height, density, and high/low cutting, Osterby Fold moves between matte depth and metallic reflection — positioning the rug somewhere between landscape, artifact, and architectural object.

1967 — the second work developed with Henzel Studio, following 1234-5678-910 (2013). Based on a 2013 work on paper, the composition brings together fragmented images of American football players’ backs, with “1967” repeated across the surface. Cuts and surface marks are carried through in shifts of pile and carved relief.
Part of Henzel Studio Collaborations, curated by @andreasson.joakim with Calle Henzel.

CALLE HENZEL
Calder Residual (Palazzo 02), 2015 / 2025
Edition of 30 + 1 AP
Calle Henzel continues the Palazzo series, where historical rug typologies become material for intervention.
Cutting, abrasion, pigment, and exposure disrupt inherited patterns, shifting the rug from decorative surface to sculptural field. Developed through experiments with vintage carpets subjected to outdoor conditions, the works register fracture and erosion.
Hand-knotted in wool, silk, mohair, and linen, each piece retains these disruptions through variations in pile height, carving, and saturation—no two works resolve in the same way.

Richard Prince × Henzel Studio, presented at Imperfettogallery during Milan Design Week as part of Sodalizi Temporanei. RICHARD PRINCE, 1967 (2013 / 2026), the second work developed by the artist in collaboration with Henzel Studio, following 1234-5678-910 (2013). Based on a work on paper produced in 2013 exclusively for Henzel Studio. The composition is constructed from fragmented images of American football players’ backs, with the number 1967 repeated across the surface as a continuous, shifting field. Cuts and surface marks from the original are retained, registered in the rug through shifts in pile and carved relief. Hand knotted in linen, lyocell, wool and silk blend, and silk, 240 × 320 cm, Edition of 20 + 1 AP
