𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. Back then, a @WorkingDog (aka Santo) on-Country, in the dust, shares why we started during an interview with @channel10 Today, the same Working Dog, reflects on a slightly older and more experienced Red Dust – with a sustained passion, pride and vision. From then to now — and into what’s next — the story continues. #reddustoz #20yearsstrong #firstnations

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗔 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝘀𝘁 This year marks 20 years of Red Dust and 30 years since our Founder John Van Groningen began a health promotion journey with remote Australia. This is a milestone that honours our roots and the many communities, partners, staff, Elders, supporters, and families who have walked with us. In recognition of this legacy, 2026 will be a celebratory “Backed by Millenia” year, with events, storytelling, and connection taking place across the entire year. This milestone firmly positions Red Dust as an organisation not only working 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 — but being 𝙤𝙛 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 and led 𝙗𝙮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. Bust a move this international day of dance! Dance is universal. It connects us through joy and pain, through story, and through the truths our bodies carry. Sometimes those stories are the ones we’ve never spoken aloud. Through movement, we can heal, integrate, reconnect, and reclaim our strength, our culture, and for many, our voice. This is especially powerful for children, whose developing brains may not yet be able to put language or narrative to what they feel. For them dance becomes their words. Fiona HLP Coordinator: “Working with kids is one of my favourite parts of this work. Their imagination, curiosity, and willingness to move simply for the joy of it bring a sense of freedom into the space. Being able to witness that in itself is healing”

Meet our newest ambassador, the incredible Molly Hunt! Molly Hunt is a proud Balanggarra and Yolŋu woman, and a multidisciplinary designer and animator whose work is grounded in storytelling, culture, and community. Through her creative practice, she is dedicated to uplifting and celebrating Blak voices—particularly First Nations women—using design and animation as a tool for visibility, strength, and connection. Passionate about giving back, Molly is committed to supporting and inspiring First Nations youth, creating pathways for self-expression, confidence, and opportunity. She believes in the power of creativity to shape identity, build pride, and open doors for the next generation. Molly’s work is guided by a strong connection to Country and a deep responsibility to community, using her platform to create meaningful impact both on and off the screen. Molly has already been out of a couple of different Healthy Living Programs, including to Tiwi Islands where she helped create the "Tiwiverse" a unique arts-focused initiative, combining comic book creation with the energy and inspiration of AFLW players, and to Minjilang where she worked with students to reimagine the The Story of Warramurrungunji the creation story of how people first came to Northwestern Arnhem Land. We're so excited to welcome Molly to the Red Dust mob and can't wait to continue introducing her to everyone. @mollyhunt4food @heymolly.com.au

For us at Red Dust, this is personal. As our co-founder and a steadfast advocate for why we do what we do, Uncle Ray has helped shape our purpose: walking alongside communities, centring culture, and building healthy futures. Today, we especially acknowledge and thank Northern Territory diggers—Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander servicemen and women from communities across the NT—who fought for our community and our shared future. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🖤 💛 ❤️ 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲. ➡️ Learn more about Uncle Ray’s story: .au/portfolio/pastor-ray-minniecon/ 📸 NewsWire / Tom Parrish #LestWeForget #AnzacDay #NTDiggers #NorthernTerritory #UncleRayMinniecon #FirstNations #Respect #Service #RedDust

Today is Earth Day, which for many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is something celebrated, respected and recognised every day. Our connection to country through our culture is the oldest in the world, which means that for over 60,000 years we have maintained and developed deep and trusting relationships with the places we are from, having lived here for generations upon generations. The footage you are seeing is the landscape of Wulungurru, also known as Kintore. It is one of the most remote communities in the Northern Territory and is home to the Pintupi People. Our relationship with Kintore goes back to the days of our inception, and we're so proud to say that over 20 years later we are still welcomed into the community. 📽️ Brett Wheeler
