This #MilitaryAppreciationMonth, the American Red Cross celebrates the military families who also carry the weight of service.
Service in the nation’s military impacts more than the service member—it shapes the lives of spouses, children and parents as they navigate long separations, constant transitions and periods of uncertainty.
Whether families are together in the U.S., stationed overseas or separated by deployment, they deal with unique challenges.
For over 140 years, the Red Cross has cared for the humanitarian needs of the U.S. military and their families.

Yesterday, a small but mighty group of Service to the Armed Forces volunteers gathered at @woodlandsphila to place American flags on military graves ahead of Memorial Day.
During Military Appreciation Month, we’re especially reminded of the importance of honoring those who have served, and those who continue to serve, our country. The Red Cross is proud to support military members, veterans, and their families every day through emergency communications, deployment services, and resources that help strengthen resilience at every stage of military life.
We’re grateful for volunteers who dedicate their time to ensuring every service member is remembered and every family feels supported. ❤️🇺🇸
