Had he lived, we believe Cola Boyy would have become a new Bob Marley for the 21st century. Sadly he passed over a year ago, the very day he put the final touch to ‘Quit To Play Chess’, his final studio album out today on Record Makers.
For him this title signified his stepping down from his politics for a while, to be a musician more than anything else. Now that he’s gone, the subtext feels a bit different.
So long, Matthew Urango, your spirit lives on.
You deserved your spot on the chess board between kings & queens.
