Feeling Anxious is yours - in 2022, I started looking at the feelings that bubble up when life & loss & grief rear its head. This is what came out. I finished writing this in the studio with Bradley last year, and fun fact - I’ve never played it live 😩 so if you come to a show and ask nicely, maybe I’ll sing it for you. That’s all for now
lyrics & vocals - yours truly
harmonies on the choruses - Sophie Haris
all other instruments & production - @brad_lyons_
To Whom It May Concern is out wherever you listen to music
sometimes life is hard & dark & heavy, especially with the state of the world for the last few years, writing & singing songs gives me an opportunity to process my feelings. this one I wrote in late 2019/early 2020 - during a season where I was struggling to get out of bed & out of my head & put my clothes away. I played it at one of the open mic nights at Little Italy in 5 Points - got one piece of feedback from @lovecammie & some chord ideas for the b section from @taylorgoodwinmusic , and it took shape. With @brad_lyons_ breathing new life into it last year & @aj.covey on drums, @_radryan on bass & @daniel.raine on Rhodes, it is now yours 💜
In April, I had the pleasure of meeting @herbivoresforanarchy in Memphis & he hopped up for a one-of-a-kind rendition of Dying Game
@luke_baxley arranged strings on the recorded version - you can hear it for yourself on Friday 🫨

Meet our Spring 2026 Battle of the Bands judges!
First up, the one and only Rebecca Egeland!
Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, Rebecca Egeland is bright, shining and unforgettable. Her smooth, expansive vocal range carries a rare depth of feeling, and her joy lights up every stage she steps onto. Within her emotionally resonant lyrics, she invites you into the beauty of love and the poignancy of loss. Her voice reaches out to you with honesty and soul. More than a performer, she is a storyteller with the rare gift of transforming her own heart’s stories into meaning that belongs to everyone.
Background:
Rebecca began writing songs in 2013 after the loss of her mother - turning inward and toward songwriting felt easier than having external conversations about loss & grief. Still, songwriting & storytelling serve as a way for her to process her lived experience. She started performing in 2016, so this year marks 10 years of sharing her stories through song! In celebration, she’s releasing solo music for the first time since 2018 with goals to tour the Southeast.
You can find her music on all streaming platforms, but she’d prefer you come to a show to connect, build community & sing along
Music is a force that moves and connects me to people and places I may have never encountered otherwise. I started interacting with @sonicreign on tiktok, her uplifting energy, music, fashion sense, and wit were instantly appealing. Now down the road we're doing this amazing show she's curated. I'm so grateful to have connected to her and be a part of her journey as she is a part of mine. Looking forward to seeing you Mobile!!
