While it toiled away in private festival screenings over the last two years, we ran an impressive run of twelve Official Selections (plus one Honourable Mention and two Semi-Finalists), including some BAFTA Cymru-Qualifying festivals such as Carmarthen Bay and FOCUS Wales in Wrexham, just down the road (kinda!) from Colwyn Bay! Absolutely unreal to hear FULL TANK will screen in Tokyo at Short Shorts Asia Film Festival 2026 #SSFF2026! This marks the short’s first selection in Asia! Congratulations to the cast and crew and massive thank you to the SSFF team!

We’ll be playing in the “Very Shorts Program” on three separate occasions during the festival’s run from 25th May - 10th June, as well as on the online screening. Details below.

AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD - Full Tank Throughout the festival the audience were given voting forms in all the short film blocks and had to vote for their funniest and favourite short film in each block. The votes were counted of all 5 blocks and the well deserved winner of best audience choice 2026 was Full Tank! We were thrilled to be able to award the lovely and talented director and writer @realjonwilliams with his award on the night! Catch 'Full Tank' on the film festival circuit if you can. A peek behind the scenes at the goofy ADR process for the short film “Full Tank”. With filmmaking, sometimes production audio doesn’t quite come out how you hoped. This can be down to noise, interference, or it’s just not possible to position the microphone in the ideal place. Even on a small budget, scheduling a day for ADR is always worthwhile, regardless if you’re just doing it in someone’s flat. Getting those extra lines, non-verbal noises and voiceover pays off a lot in post-production. It also gives you a good excuse to record your cast doing proper odd stuff like this. FULL TANK will screen its UK and WORLD PREMIERE at the Crystal Palace International Film Festival @crystalpalacefilmfestival ! This BIFA-Qualifying festival is ranked 4th in the world on FilmFreeway and No. 1 in the UK, so this is massive news.

Time to give some flowers to the cast of “Full Tank”. Jake Curran @jakecurrano , who played our badass urinary-incontinent getaway driver. Such a joy to work with and to see stretching the extremities of a man in need of a piss. I suspect his method involved chugging litres of water between takes, he refuses to divulge his trade secrets. Hire this man. Harry French the mensch @harry_french99 . Class act from top to bottom. Brings such intensity to this jumpy amateur burglar. Finally, so much fun getting Tony Barroso @tonybarrosofilms and Kelly Diapere @kellydiapere involved, two fellow London Film School grads. I laugh every time I see Tony scramble around that tiny Mini. Tons of fun to work with every one of them. Thank you @buleng000 for the stills!
