Yesterday I played music with others for the first time in over four months. Seems unthinkable that I hadn’t performed since March 2. Our show was live-streamed from the @iceensemble studio to 100-ish listeners. It was healing to hear and make music in the same room with my brilliant bandmates @isabellepantogleicher and Josh Modney, and to be able to share that with our friends at @the_walden_school . ❤️
PREDICTION 2 — for a post-covid pre-summer bod re-entry:
Curves are the new thigh gap. Serve some extra, head to toe. Robust is a must. Girl get the platter.
During a shutdown of unknown duration, we will come to feel the deep reliability of 1) having minimal opportunity for physical activity and 2) having maximal opportunity to EAT and DRINK those feelings girl.
We will emerge a bit heavier, a bit rounder, and in solidarity. Fashion will not be slim fit. No actual shade will be thrown — this prehistoric instinctual mammalian shit of fattening ourselves up when basic needs become uncertain? That’s all it is girl. Get it.

PREDICTION for a post-covid Zoom-conditioned re-entry: Tops are the new black. Tops are the new head-to-toe. Tops are everything. Girl express yourself. We will interact with exaggerated facial expressions (a habit taken on after months of Zoom’ed overcompensation) which will unfortunately distract from the interesting risks you are taking with your hair and make up. BUT it will look like we don’t have any fucks left to give b/c everyone’s shoes, trousers, pants, whatever... will be trash.
