A warm welcome to our latest co-op crew! đ
This term, weâre excited to have students joining teams across Redbrick, Duplex, @leadpages , and @shift_browser .
From software development and machine learning to finance and marketing design, this group is bringing fresh ideas, new perspectives, and plenty of fun facts with them.
Weâre so glad youâre here! đ
âDone is more honest than waiting for something to be perfect.â
We asked our Impact & Sustainability Manager, Ally, about the thinking behind this yearâs Impact Report. đ±
For Ally, the focus wasnât on endlessly refining every detail â it was on creating something readers would actually find valuable. Something that feels honest about where we are and the work still ahead.
Our 2025 Impact Report is coming soon đ stay tuned!

Earth Month, wrapped đ
This April, we leaned into small actions that add up, from a clothing swap that gave pieces a second life (and our closets a refresh) to a plant-based lunch catered by @houseofboateng .
A couple of simple ways we showed up for the planet, togetherâand a reminder that sustainability is built in the everyday. đ±
A beautiful day to run 10K âïžđââïž
Huge shoutout to these Redbrickers who took on the Victoria TC10K this past weekend. Couldn't have asked for better conditions!
Getting out there, moving your body, doing something that feels goodâweâre big on that. Sponsoring organized run entries is one small way we follow through.
A few members of the TEDxVictoria team hopped over to Vancouver last week to join @tedxvancouver for a live viewing of TED2026 đ„
Part of the global @ted Live experience, the event brought together people from across the local TEDx community to watch the conference unfold in real timeâideas, perspectives, and conversations from around the world, all in one room.
From behavioural science to digital anthropology (and yes, plenty of AI), the talks spanned disciplines, but kept circling back to one thing: how we connect in a rapidly changing world.

Growth changes the business, but it also changes the role of a leader.
As teams grow, roles shift. What worked early on stops working. And at some point, leadership becomes less about doing, and more about enabling others.
That shift isnât always easy, but itâs necessary if you want to keep growing. đ±

Impact doesnât happen in isolation â it takes a lot of hands đ€
And for the first time, weâre bringing all of that work into one place.
Built by the people behind the data, the decisions, and the hard conversations: our first-ever Impact Report is dropping soon.
The good. The uncomfortable. The baseline.
Stay tuned đ

For seven years in a row, Redbrick has been named one of Canadaâs Top Small & Medium Employers.
Growth mattersâbut what actually scales is how you build. đ§±
Scale isnât just revenue. Itâs systems. Itâs creating something that can grow and hold over time.

Redbrick has been named one of Canadaâs Top Small and Medium Employers (2026) for the seventh consecutive year đ
But the award is only part of the story.
It reflects how weâve grown over time: building for the long term, investing in our teams, and evolving how we work as we scale.
Weâve shared what weâve learned along the way in our latest blogâread it at the link in our bio đ

A big night for Victoriaâs tech community đ
We joined an incredible group of builders, leaders, and community champions at the 2026 @viatec Awards, an evening dedicated to the people shaping this ecosystem.
A standout moment: watching our CEO, Tobyn Sowden, take the stage to accept the Colin Lennox Award for Technology Champion.
We were also proud to support this yearâs Inclusion Champion award, huge congrats to @textgroove !
Proud to be part of a community that continues to raise the bar. Congratulations to all of this yearâs winners đ„ł
That's a wrap on #BCorp Month! đ
As @bcorporation standards continue to evolve, so do our expectations of ourselves. That means going deeper on environmental responsibility, expanding how we invest in our communities, and continuing to build systems that keep us honest as we grow.
B Corp Month is about accountability. And for us, that doesnât stop here.
Letâs just say⊠weâve been putting that into practice in a pretty tangible way đ
More on that next month!
