Our Impact Report is here​​ 📢 On this International Day of People with Disabilities, we are excited to launch the new RDA Impact Report - a celebration of the life-changing difference RDA makes for disabled people across the UK.​​ ​ Each year, RDA enriches the lives of over 39,000 disabled children and adults, building confidence, connection and joy through the power of horses. Earlier this year I got to meet the incredible Khianna and hear her inspiring story of riding horses with the RDA. 16 year old Khianna is completely blind, has recovered from leukaemia and first started riding as rehabilitation therapy following paralysis - she rides and helps care for Patch at Bradbourne RDA, developing a bond and trust together that allows her to ride whilst being totally blind. Khianna has so far raised over £2000 for her local RDA. This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on the impact RDA can have on mental wellbeing 💚 Across the UK, people tell us that spending time with horses through RDA helps them feel more confident, less isolated and part of something positive. Our latest impact report stats show just how much these sessions can support mental wellbeing, from reducing feelings of loneliness to helping people build confidence and connection.
